Nurturing Cultural Competence in Nursing: Promising Practices for Education and Healthcare

An overview of the Oregon Center for Nursing's Nurturing Cultural Competence in Nursing program, funded in part by the Oregon Community Foundation, and the Partners Investing in Nursing's Future initiative from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Northwest Health Foundation. From 2008-2010, 13 mini-grants were awarded to organizations throughout Oregon and SW Washington to find the promising practices to improve cultural competence in nurses.
