On December 17 2018, Malaysian politician Nurul Izzah Anwar caused a stir when she decided to quit her posts in Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR). The Member of Parliament for Permatang Pauh and Anwar Ibrahim's daughter reflected on the past year working with the current government. She also shared her views on Singapore and remarked that both countries can learn from each other.
