Kiko performed by NUS Guitar Ensemble as part of Aventura, held at School of the Arts, Singapore, on 31 March 2024.
Kiko is a song composed by Grammy Award-winning musician Earl Klugh. In this arrangement by Balraj Gopal for the Niibori Guitar Ensemble, Kiko’s highly syncopated melodic line is well supported by a defined bassline, a strumming rhythm guitar and a solo ukulele. The melodic passages of various sections intertwine to create a feeling of nostalgia and groove to its Caribbean-style rhythm.
