FABULOUS Nut Roast Bread for my little Christmas party! This is wonderful!! Perfect portions and flavors together. Do you happen to have a recipe for Scotch Eggs in your inventory of videos on your channel? I searched and could not find one. Maybe under a different name? I want to try to make those for the holidays. Thank you!!!

Thank you. The scotch egg video on this channel is from 2 years ago when we thought we should use music - the recipe is great - give it a try kzbin.info/www/bejne/g53CdIuZrdSVepY Best, Rik

Fantastic! I do enjoy a good roast once a month at least... accompanied with rice, roast potatoes & pumpkin, peas and gravy. I am curious about how to make Yorkshire pudding. I grew up reading stories by James Herriot. They had roast with Yorkshire pudding every Sunday... which he invariably missed out on when on call out.

I sometimes cook for vegan friends. Can you recommend an egg substitute?
@BackyardChef10 ай бұрын
A good egg substitute for a nut loaf would be flaxseed or chia seeds. Both can be used to create a "flax egg" or "chia egg," which acts as a binder similar to a real egg. To make one, simply mix 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds or chia seeds with 3 tablespoons of water, and let it sit for a few minutes to thicken. This mixture can replace one egg in your nut loaf recipe. Best, Rik

Hi. I asked about the veg version of the bacon meatloaf you did yesterday (11/3) and you directed me here. Looks good ...what could I swap the mushrooms out for ? Could i use beetroot or turnip???

Hi Rik, do you remember where you got your Philips food grinder from? It's just what I've been looking for. Also, once upon a time I was a member of the Seventh day Adventist church and they had lots of meatless meals. Some were good, but most were Meh. They used nuts to replace meat, especially pork in many of their recipes. One recipe I remember was called Special K loaf. It wasn't all that bad to be honest. But life without bacon is sad... so sad. 🩷 Love you Rik 🩷 😍

I actually got the Phillips online - not expensive and a good gadget. I agree with the bacon - and I actually have two lots that are ready should have soaked them today - not to worry will do that tomorrow then finish them off. Thank you very much. Best, Rik
