I would love to see an episode like this in relation to joints and connective tissue injury prevention/recovery. It seems to plague everyone chronically. We'd benefit greatly from having the latest info on this topic from a trusted source.

Love the podcast! I do have one recommendation, I have some experience in the audio engineering world as a musician so my ears inherently pick up on certain things. So to that point I would highly recommend you get a microphone De-Esser, it’s a simple piece of hardware that goes over the microphone to cut out some of the hard P’s, K’s, C’s in ones voice. Along with that when editing podcasts go into the EQ and cut back the 150 Hz area. Should help create a better experience for your listeners

Hey Andy, thank you so much! I recently suffered a medior concussion and was only now able to listen to your podcast. What, besides these nutritional & supplementation protocols, can I do in terms of Behavioural Approaches to remedy my concussion? Put differently, what should the days, weeks & month post-injury look like to recover as quickly as possible? In terms of sleep, rest, but also exercise. I find that my energy is low, but the inactivity is also starting to take it's toll. I would really appreciate any wisdom you can share on this end.

Dr Galpin, during the podcast you mentioned that the pressure wave created during a blow to the head can damage the inner tissue of the brain as it travels through. You also mentioned the brain has two primary tissue types-grey and white. Is there a difference in density between the two tissue types? If so, is there a higher rate of damage to the area closest to the interface between these two tissue types than in areas say, in the middle of either of the tissue types? I only ask ask out of curiosity, as I studied force protection engineering, and a primary cause of damage and fragmentation during an explosion was actually due to the reflection of the pressure wave when travelling from a denser material, to a less dense material. For example, a concrete T wall is great for stopping projectiles, but will fragment on the side furthest from the point of detonation, creating far more shrapnel. I would be curious to see if this effect happens at a cellular level during a head knock.

Have you seen any good evidence concerning using creatine *hydrochoride* vs. monohydrate? Would you recommend it? It's supposed to be better absorbed, so people could take a capsule instead of the powder which is sort of gritty and offputting.

Creatine monohydrate has been known to have adverse effects (metabolic acidosis) for people who are on metformin, and I believe majority of the people specially as one ages have been prescribed metformin. Would you be able shed some light on that information/ research. Thank you

I am so on board with both creatine and omega supplements. Question is; if I eat salmon, is it detrimental to take the supplement that same day??? Plenty of brain injury and getting older... Mostly concerned about the affect on cholesterol. Creatine seems to help a lot but still conservative on how many grams to take. As a compromise I take between 5-7 grams/day. Would really like to take more. Stomach distress is something I never have with anything, even magnesium. No problemo. Creatine I'm willing to increase but omegas concern me with cholesterol.. Thoughts on the effects on cholesterol?? Just your personal opinion pls.❤

1 more? I have egg whites daily. Now my understanding is choline is only in the yoke. Love momentous products and very concerned about brain health and multiple injuries. Is it true that it is not in egg whites? Apparently b vitamins as well aren't found in just egg whites so I've started b vitamins. In your opinion, am I getting getting any choline in just egg whites? Ty so much! So sad this sounds like your last video in this series 😢

I’m reeling from your serving size comment. So I would eat about 100g of meat in a meal that’s my home serving size to get the right protein amount for me in a meal. Serving sizes of meat in a restaurant are half that so about 50g here in the rest of the world. You’re saying that in America a serving size is about 200g of meat??? No wonder some people are saying people are eating too much protein based on that. You have to ask for double the meat everywhere else to each protein targets and pay extra
