Great webinar. however, I would like to point out my concern about the negative sentiments on low fodmap diet and keto diet. Jerusalem artichoke, onion and garlic are all allowed on the keto diet, so that should provide a person on the keto diet with a good amount of soluble fiber. feeding the gut microbiome is also achieved by polyphenol, as addressed in the webinar. both the low fodmap diet and the keto diet are rich in foods with phenolic compounds. more importantly, if an individual with ibs and ibd etc feels better / has less symptoms on a low fodmap, keto or carnivore diet, that should be a good indicator that the diet is beneficial to the individual and gut microbiome.
