MG-300 sounds very good - the MG-30 sounds less boxy... deeper and more dynamic though. And I tried with both here for more than a week. The "feel" when playing is also better with the MG-30 which is likely from 2ms vs. 7ms latency

Less boxy? You have to set the EQ in global section before you use it or play in any kinds of amp.

@@nongermz6634 you can dial in a lot in both devices. So comparing just one sound is always difficult. What I meant is that I had difficulties to get a dialed in very open and... "real sounding" MG-30 gain tone with the MG-300. The other way round - I had no problems getting any MG-300 sound - often it just was pushing the low in EQ to get near it. They sound similar in many ways - but the MG-30 ist a bit more versatile. Please don't get me wrong: The MG-300 sounds incredible... particular for its price. The MG-30 is a good option if you want more versatility in tones, better build, better display, better usability and so on.

What a bummer! I really wanted to upgrade to the 30 but the 300 is warmer and fuller. Seems to be the same situation in all the current demos. Thanks fir this!

The default EQ in "studio direct" has less low end in the MG-30. If you push it a tiny bit in global eq it gets _much_ warmer and fuller while not loosing its clarity and lifely tone. KZbin videos don't transfer the much more versatile tone of the MG-30.

The MG300 sounds amazing but on the MG30 you have definitely more ways and tonal options, also highly quality on the time-based effects.

I keep hearing people like mg300 more "warmer"? I'm just not hearing that. The lack of realism makes me discount any warmth that is there. mg30 sounds better to me. ymmv

What most people hear as "warmer" is just a darker and more compressed sound in the MG-300. At the best even checked through lossy YT videos over subpar audio equipment or even just their handys. People are just quite quick drawing complete conclusions. Nobody seems to have the time for more as it seems...

People have some "fetish" with lows, this warmth makes the sound desapear in the mix.

The opinion of both nux is very simple, both nux mg 30 is brighter sound and higher gain. (more versatile) nux mg 300 has a darker sound and lacks more power.

Interestingly after quite some experiments in the beginning the MG-30 really profits from raising the lows in global output EQ when using "studio direct". It gets fuller and even more "real". I guess a lot of people turn up the volume of the MG-30 to much up because of the missing low end in the default EQ... this then overemphasizes the highs. Try it out - its really "ear opening" ^^
