Unlike goku and vegeta . Hell even piccolo changing colors in the new movie makes since seeing as he's based off of slugs who also have various color schemes. So the whole saiyan transformation color scheme doesn't make since but at the end of the day it's just a work of fiction and I LOVE IT ALL!😎

OG DB had some twists, just no stakes, and Z had at least 1 oh instead of just monkeys Goku and Gohan are alien monkeys... granted that's kind of why I don't like Z as much. I liked Z when I was younger, but after seeing og DB I like it way more, back when it wasn't just about fighting, it was action, comedy, and adventure, so when you got a tournament or major fight it felt special. It's not just nonstop fights, the fights have means and purpose, stakes, lessons learned. Trying to rewatch Z is also a pain, even Kai cutting down on filler, so Goku isn't taking 10 episodes for a spirit bomb, still drags on a bit. That's just my opinion, what DBZ onwards lacks is twists sure, but it's more about the stakes, like when Roshi is going to "die" in Super... I felt nothing, because he isn't going to die, Android 17 wishing for peace instead of a boat then Genos saying yeah you wish for that boat or anyone wishin for anything else we just Thanos snapping everything... no you wouldn't, it's Dragon Ball, as fun as the fights can be, there's nothing to push them forward outside of get stronger, no threat to their friends or family means anything maybe outside of Krillin dying for the 3rd time just to awaken Super Saiyan on Planet Namek, but I feel the 1st time against King Picolo was equally impactful, arguably more when you watch them side by side as an adult. Gohan getting power boosted and pulling Z sword sure neat and why I like the Buu saga the most... but then Goku and Vegeta bail him out as usual, Vegeto is neat (even if I liked Gogeta more from GT and that one movie), but then that fails and Goku and Vegeta bail it out again, and everyone's brought back to life that died, even Goku who had died from the previous saga and was supposed to be perma dead since dragon balls can't bring back people more than once. ... didn't mean to go into this tangent, but this is why Dragon Ball has just been getting worse and worse as a series as I grow up outside of OG DB with Kid Goku.
