First of all I don't know why people support him cuz going after Itachi was obvious but how he went about it like he joined orochimaru who killed third hokage and orochimaru also planned to destroy the leaf.He didn't know whether orochimaru was telling him the truth about making him stronger it could have been that he would have used sasuke's body to attack the village.In Shippuden his attitude had become so bad it was getting more and more difficult to watch him I mean the guy who lost his whole clan should be greatful for every little thing he had.Kakashi's line fits on "Those who break the rules are scum but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum".Also he tried to capture killer bee .Tried to kill Karin for no reason and went after the hidden leaf that very village because of which his elder brother had to bear the burden of killing his entire clan.Itachi loved his village.Most of the Uchiha were selfish and arrogant except people like itachi and shisui.Tobirama was right to ask the village people about who should become the first hokage.They choose hashirama and cuz of that madara's pride got hurt.All uchihas are like that except 1 or 2.

Sasuke wasn't doing anything for the will of his brother other than "I never want this to happen to ANYONE cause its really fucked up" hence why he goes for "Revolution" he wants to fix the Ninja World and his original rash decision to eliminate the leaf was his decision at first. Again Sasukes purpose was NOT to continue what his brother lived for. Sasuke is his own person and lived for his own goals and motivations. His brothers life influenced him to want change in the world so no one would ever be tasked with killing theit entire family again. He would not have sided with the Uchiha in their coup, but he also can't stand by a village that asked his brother to slaughter his entire clan. His only motivation for the "Uchiha" name is to get the Uchiha clan back to its massive size, but without the evil that all Uchihas have to deal with

She was being controlled by granny chiyo from the start of the fight, only stopped when sasori pulled out his 100 puppets and then asked to be controlled by chiyo who at that point had one arm and fatigued. Not to mention Sakura got poisoned again which made sasori ignore her, giving her the chance to pull his cord leading to the end of the fight. Sakura was not useful until the war and you literally have to be useful otherwise you shouldn’t be there. Her becoming strong and learning medical ninjutsu was great but she never used it to a real powerful extent when it mattered

He might not have been able to, because he likely would've had to deal with Akatsuki as a result, or taking on Hidan and Kakuzu in his weakened state might have been too much, with Sasuke he just had to lure him with power, and had him right under his nose the whole time. He probably also thought Sasuke was an easier target and underestimated his ability.

I think Orochimaru simply misjudged Sasuke’s advancement. He didn’t train Sasuke to be strong enough to be able to kill him, he trained Sasuke to be strong enough to kill a weakened version of him with absolutely zero access to most of his offensive arsenal slightly more quickly than he was prepared to take over his newly prepared vessel.

Actually they do explain how he got the mangenkyo Sharingan. It was when Obito saw Kakashi kill Rin, that he manifested his mangenkyo, it was due to his eye being part of the same set, that Kakashi gained it as well.

Honestly most long running shounen could have been shorter but since the anime often started soon after the manga was published that had to make it long in order to have material. I prefer shorter yet more consistent, changing and tight stories like FMA Brotherhood that anime begin after the end of the manga.

9xprincess Indeed. The only manga/anime that truly need to be long are One Piece...well, basically manga that are planned to be that long in the first place. With Naruto, it's clear that Kishimoto had no plans in regards to length. Whatever people may think of One Piece, it's able to stay very consistent with its' narrative because Oda planned and mapped out the story many years in advance. Many mangaka don't do this because their series were never planned out past a certain point. The decisions become random and usually pander to main stream troupes.

You know that arm loss plot point would've been waaaay cooler if it happened during their first fight. Given some actual stakes, and a legitimate drawback the two would have to overcome to be strong shinobi. Instead, they're powerful because they were born to be that way. Yay, how cool.

After using lightning to negate an attack by Deidara, Sasuke falls to his knees then Deidara says, "you're on your last legs too. Your chakra took a big hit there" (Chapter 358) This shows that while not totally out of chakra he has used so much he is having trouble standing, so it would make since it would be beyond his abilities to perform a jutsu established to require large amount of chakra followed by an easier, but still requiring chakra, genjustsu. You also see the bomb beginning to crack right before exploding and Sasuke has not yet begun to escape, suggesting that he manages to make his escape in what is at most a matter of seconds. I actually agree that Deidara's attack took Chakra. Deidara was actually in better shape then Sasuke, and had lost not due to being hurt worse but because he had used what seemed to be his Ace (microscopic bombs) and Sasuke had learned it and Deidra's other attacks could be countered by lightning attacks. Deidara's attack is clearly shown absorbing his body, implying that the Chakra needed to power such an attack was what was normally used in order to keep Deidara alive. Lastly Deidara escaping is not as rediculous as you say, because he was wounded by the shuriken while still reletively high up into the air giving him time to escape, he was already established to be able to quickly create new flying creatures, and while his arms were wounded the only part that needs to work well to create the bombs is the mouths on his hands which were still open and right next to a source of clay, the dragon he was on. Personally, the most plot armor part was earth style being weak to lightning style. This is especially laughable when you realize that real plastic explosives such as C4 are actually detonated by running an electrical current through them.

Oh I agree lightning being a weakness was covered in story, but it never came up before this and it doesn't really make sense, so it kinda feels like plot armor. I mean can you think of another series where rock is weak to lightning rather than the other way around? Deidara saying it certainly doesn't show it is true but Sasuke did fall to his knees, suggesting he was really worn out. Since no hard numbers on Chakra needed to do things are given, I guess it really comes down to suspension of belief, which this broke for many people.

Those are good points. With the chakra reserves I agree Sasuke should still have chakra left based on his capabilities up to that point, but within the fight in question the way it is presented doesn't suggest that. If Sasuke still had large amounts of chakra left why would he fall down? All those examples of his speed are a good point. That part actually does seem pretty reasonable looking at how much his speed was emphasized. I guess because things are usually shown at a speed the viewer can keep track of, suddenly having someone do multiple things in at most a couple of seconds feels more impossible than it would be in-universe. Also, great job actually referencing pages and such to support your argument, most people aren't willing to go through the effort.

Great video! A couple of things that come to mind, though. Deidara did self-destruct while reanimated, and edo tensei summons have infinite chakra, so it not costing any is kind of irrelevant. Danzo didn't use Kotoamatsukami against the assassins. That was just him unveiling Shisui's sharingan to predict their movements and stuff. Y'know, a base mechanic of the sharingan. He did later use it on Mifune who was mediator of the Five Kage Summit, though. In order to place him under a genjutsu which would sway the meeting in his own favor. Him having Hashirama's cells also shortens the cooldown from ten years to one day. Which is pretty big.

In fact, I thought it was made pretty obvious. I do love how no one gets Sasuke's logic in going for the village. The village your brother wanted to protect which gave him a choice they knew he'd go for the best interests of the village with. The village which asked your brother to kill your family. You're obsessed with vengeance against those responsible for the Uchiha deaths. Hence why Sasuke mentioned going after whoever helped Itachi once they were done. (Kirin is still the most epic Jutsu reveal of the series for me). What do you think he's going to do once he finds out that the order to kill his clan came from village higher ups, then later learns that what lead to the Uchiha feeling as if they were being kept in check was due to something the Second Hokage did against the first Hokage's wishes. Giving them a position mainly to give them some power, yet still keep a close eye on them.

She followed chiyos strategy and allowed her to control her with puppet strings, then when they stopped doing that Chiyo gets poisoned and Sakura has to use one of the few antidotes she brought on her arse. There are really no specific rules( they say they have but there aren't), chakra, which is their life force just becomes irrelevant, world setting is very lose, i personally feel that kakashi was made weaker in the whole story just so MC can take the credit. Like itachi, kakashi was an exceptional student and he was trained by minato. Then it is said that he knows more than 1000 jutsu but he never uses any except handling a kunai and chidori, he has sharingan but doesn't use genjutsu. Sikamaru and neji aren't dealt fair either. Guy is shown as overpowered so they just kept him out of the story as long as possible. So overall it has many flaws but guess we should be thankful for making our childhood memorable

Another video I saw from a channel I can't recall talked about animation styles, and how people often have a narrow idea of what constitutes good versus bad animation. The Pain vs Naruto fight plays very fast and loose with the character models. I really appreciate the exaggeration, especially because of how that animation style is only really employed for more significant fights. To me it really captures the idea that the fight taking place is challenging the reality that most shinobi live in, as these characters push the boundaries of what's possible. But a lot of people just think that the degree of exaggeration implemented is "bad animation" instead of a particular style of animation that's actually implemented very well by skilled artists. Of course some people will just not like the style, but they can usually acknowledge that it's done well, just not to their taste.
