Edit: btw gamers, if you want a way to help those with IBS but don't have any money, I recommend just taking pre-cautions against germs, quite a few of us are on medications that suppress immune responses, so things like a cold are a lot more annoying and can even cause bigger issues. Like, building competitive pokemon became just the right balance in this gen, where it's not EZ PZ like the most recent games while not being a super arcane and luck-based process like in earlier gens. My hot take: XY are the 4th easiest games in the franchise behind SV, RBY, and LGPE (well, maybe the last one isn't a hot take). None of them are particularly hard, but certain battles in XY punish single mistakes harder than the others and there's a greater chance you'll get swept.
@solgaleo35332 жыл бұрын
I had some challenges with them, but with LGPE it was definitely just me letting my party get underelevelled. For SV though, that last chapter had a very hard boss.
@cullenhutchison65282 жыл бұрын
@@solgaleo3533 The final boss of SV still shares a weakness with every other important fight in the game: the Pokémon don't cover their own or their team's weaknesses very well, so they are likewise susceptible to getting countered or swept. The biggest difficulty would only be for a blind playthrough where you didn't know the typings or stats of the Paradox Pokémon, but that's hardly ever the case. TL;DR: "optimal strategies" break SV pretty hard.

@@Brizzle427 The region, routes and the new pokémon they added. Plus I wasn't a fan of how gen 5 looked, and thought they were visually stunning!

25:51 Are you saying that because Magneton was not gonna use an electric type move against a ground type... or were you implying Magneton isn't grounded? Because it is, being grounded means the Pokémon gets hit by ground type moves as well as being affected by Spikes, Toxic Spikes and Sticky Web. I would usually think you mean the former, but you had quite some slips during this video so it wouldn't suprise me, like saying Gogoat is a normal type or thinking Diggersby is a good Pokémon in XY. No, really, that guy stinks without Huge Power, which you can't get before the post game.

Elite 4 Rooms Gen 1, 2, 3 and 4 - copy-paste the same room and then change it a bit. Hoenn at least has cool, unique hallways between them Gen 5 and 6 - unique, daunting, regal and GORGEOUS Gen 7 - copy-paste the same room and change the colour Gen 8 - a large field because no proper E4 Gen 9 - the exact same monocolour room for all the E4, or the exact same city centre for the ace tournament Yeah no wonder I remember the Unova and Kalos E4 the most

The funniest thing about his adamant belief in Skiddo being grass/normal is that the pokedex slips on screen and proves him wrong during the spiel

The Mandela Effect isn't real. You just misremebered some things, which we all do sometimes. No need to use a fancy term to justify it.
@davidezell9232 жыл бұрын
He also isn't even using the term correctly. One person misremembering something is not the Mandela Effect. The term is used for a large group of people all misremembering the same thing.
@Bear06012 жыл бұрын
That’s kinda the point tho? When something so big happens to so many people it only makes sense to make a term for it. It’s how we humans are.

XY doesn't deserve the few content and Pokemon label. They 3d modeled and animated every Pokemon up to this point, models that the next 2 gens profited from in workload (even though swsh should really have made new ones). Sure the game is easy but all the added ease of life features meant that getting into competitive battling was finally accessible and fun.

It's always a treat to watch a video from this channel. It's always entertaining to listen to Meatball speak about Pokemon as there are a lot of little touches in the voice inflections, the metaphors and even the jokes make these fun to watch and get a genuine laugh out of me when a joke is made. Thanks for making such great content, Chaotic. Here's to a Happy Holidays for you and a great 2023!

1:10:32 Flying Press doesn't deal quad effective damage to Ferrothorn, because all types of both the move and the target are considered to determine type effectiveness; since Steel resists Flying, it cancels out the weakness that Grass has, thus Flying Press deal single supereffective damage due to the fighting aspect of the move. Flying Press can deal quad effective damage only if the target's typing make it weak to both types of the move without being neutral/resisting one of them (so Aurorus, for example, has only a regular weakness to the move because of its Flying resistance); examples are: Abomasnow (Grass/Ice), Sawsbuck (Normal/Grass), Bewear (Normal/Fighting).

I mean... people trash on all these games for being easy. They are made for kids... they aren't meant to be mlg pro level difficulty. I enjoyed the entire series. They are all good for what they are. I don't really see a point in playing an old game if you are just going to trash it. I like this series, but man, shitting all over this game made this one a bit of a downer to this series.

I remember when X and Y first came out and there was the super rare glitch of monochrome pokemon. I lowkey wish GameFreak went with it and made actual monochrome pokemon as super rare shinies or something.

This is a bit out of nowhere, but one of my favorite video game palate cleansers is Shovel Knight. You could go for some challenge within one of the campaigns normally, or I highly recommend using some of the built in cheats! They can range from OP and silly to genuinely a challenge. If you have an idea of generally what you’d want to go for I can help narrow down and recommend specific cheats.

hey man, thanks for promoting the Crohns and Colitis foundation. I’ve been diagnosed with Crohns when i was 11 and have been dealing with it for a decade now. I have been unable to do sports and do much physical work at all. It means a lot to me that you and your friend try to help. Thank you.❤

X&Y best gen. It's flaws are difficulty balance and story but really, Pokemon is a game series designed for younger than 12 so it's not like that's a real problem. Everything else is damn near perfect.

Not sure what challenge you would do, but something in the Golden Sun series would be awesome. It's my favorite game series of all time. Maybe prove how superior psynergy is to ordinary folk by not using any armor/weapons? Or prove you're just as good as any warrior even without psynergy, and no psynergy use in battle (obviously can't manage without psynergy outside of battle unless there are tons of bug based skips I'm unaware of). Either way I imagine no in battle healing items. I don't know, there are surely options out there. Alternately, play Ghost Trick. The challenge: don't let anyone spoil the plot of Ghost Trick. And play Ghost Trick. Seriously, everyone should play Ghost Trick (and don't let anyone spoil it for you, please, this game deserves to be played unspoiled).
