It's time for a new adventure! After having trekked through many of these games time and time again, I wanted to have one final ultimate challenge in the vanilla mainline Pokemon franchise... Can I beat, every SINGLE Pokemon game in chronological order in a hardcore nuzlocke setting, and without reusing a single Pokemon in any other game? For instance, if I use Bulbasaur in Red version, I won't be able to use it in Blue, Yellow, Firered, or any other game. Rules of the challenge:
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch one Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)

Q. What are those non-nicknamed Pokemon in your party for, do they count towards the total?
A. They're HM users, nothing more. No, they don't count towards the total since they're never used in battle. Except Espeon and Umbreon, I still have yet to look up if Colosseum has a name rater lolol
Q. If you catch a Pokemon, doesn't it count as used?
A. Nope! They're only "used" if they get put into battle and use an attack. This is to avoid things like non-usable Pokemon sitting in the party and getting gusted out via Whirlwind or Roar.
Q. What are the 39 games involved in this series?
A. Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Colosseum, FireRed, LeafGreen Emerald, XD, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, Black 2, White, White 2, X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire, Sun, Ultra Sun, Moon, Ultra Moon, Let's Go Eevee, Let's Go Pikachu, Sword, Shield, Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, Legends Arceus, Scarlet, and Violet.
Q. What about games like FR/LG where you get a starter that you've already used, do you fail the challenge?
A. No, since the nuzlocke doesn't start until I receive Pokeballs, I simply go out and capture an unused Pokemon at full HP and continue after boxing the starter.
Q. Are you choosing your encounters?
A. Occasionally. I have a document where I've laid out encounters for the entire franchise. But isn't that against the spirit of a nuzlocke? I don't think so, I think the battles are the main challenge, after all, I can just reset the run to get the right first encounter, but that would make producing these videos a lot slower and less enjoyable.

@@RaichuGamesFormalyBeef Damage in Pokemon is rolled in a range, basically if you use a move that would deal a 100 damage, it might do somewhere between 80 and 100 damage, depending on where you land in the range. These numbers aren't entirely correct but you get the point.

@@RaichuGamesFormalyBeef part of the damage calculation is a random number between 1 and 0.85, so if the calculations involving stats, move power, items etc. would come to 100 that random number means it would actually deal anywhere from 85 to 100. saying an attack is a range means that the lowest number wont be a KO but the highest would. e.g if the target for our hypotheical 85-100 damage attack had 90HP there is a 33% chance that it would survive the attack and a 66% chance for a KO.

As a child I refused to use healing items at any point during the elite four and champion. When I was challenging the elite four for the rematch in Heartgold I had way too many attempts because of this. But seeing how the elite four and champion were even a little challenging for you while you did use healing items between battles really makes me wonder how I ever made it to Lance.

In my experience, critical hits almost never come from a high crit ratio. Focus Blast? Crit. Sludge? Crits all the time. Crits twice in a row. Strength? Also crit. Slash? Nope, never crits.

I know this is random comment, but in regards to PowerPoint comment you made at about 1:03ish, for my college test I managed to get a powerpoint that took 40+ hours to save on my old Samsung tablet.... Its an old tablet that I use as a side piece to my main devices, and each pen stroke on it counts as separate image, so it had tens of thousands of pictures just from pen strokes. I already backed it up with screen shooting it 1st, just wanted to see if it can do it, and it eventually did. Even thought it kept saying that its crashed do I want to restart it, and my tablet was hot enough to probably cook eggs on it. Side note, Samsung makes tablets that last for forever, even after they stop updating them. This was my tablet I got for my freshman year in 2012, and when I returned to college again couple of years ago, I just used it as a calendar, or a quick drawing or notes. It takes days to fully charge, but it still works and has 0 issues. I even upgraded its memory by 500gb, plus the 13 gb it came with.

Random hot take but I think KZbin should implement a system where if you watch more than half of a video someone made and you haven't already liked/disliked it the video should pause and make you choose one in order to continue. Than to elaborate on that system, if you watch more than 2 of a given channels videos you should have to sub to watch more. I find it insane how simple/easy and most importantly FREE it is to like/sub to a channel which MASSIVELY helps the creator and literally takes less than 5 seconds to do. I don't understand how people just don't care. Like I saw a video today with 10M views with only 45k likes that is INSANE to me, and this was a 45 min heavily edited video. When I saw your sub/not sub ratio I just decided to comment it here. Like I can understand if YT was like Twitch and subscribing was $5 but it's literally free. I almost feel like there's a subset of watchers out there that even though they love the content they subconciously know that more subs means the creator will make good money and maybe for some weird reason that makes people purposely not like/sub, I know how nuts that sounds but I honestly can't think of another reason, especially on channels that politely ask "If you enjoyed the content please take 5 sec to click like/sub". I really enjoyed the YuGiOh break! Let me take a moment to comprehend the tempo of the Nuzlocke, thanks for that 😁 I like YuGiOh alot but I cant get into these new mechanics. I will stick to my Gravekeepers to go against all these new Special Summons 🙏🏼

I love this series, because I get to see Pokémon I often forget about. Which is honestly a lot of them, because I'm not a diehard Pokémon fan and more of a "play it in the meantime" kinda guy. Although I am playing Soul Silver myself, because I like Johto.
