NV041 Are GunTuff Adjustable Butt Pads the same as Bisley Adjustable Butt Pads?

Worth knowing for future reference. l have fitted one of these on an old rifle which had a very low cheek piece and along with a comb riser gave a good eye line through the scope. At the time l did wonder about similarity of the two and subsequently went the Bisley route for piece of mind. And the wallet was clearly ripped off!

Hello William, thank you for your comment much appreciated 👍🏻. It was something I had wondered so I figured I should find out. I was looking for a brown pad to ape the standard factory pad on the HW77K, so I bought a brown GunTuff to compare to my stock of Bisley pads. The GunTuff on my HW77K is still operating perfectly, so I won't be spending those extra £ next time I need to stock up on them.

I have new hw 95 ive had it two years and the kick it is not nice , by now you will have fitted it to your hw77k was it worth the money and did it make a difference . Im in New Zealand .

Hello Liz, thank you for your comment much appreciated. The Bisley / Guntuff butt pad won't absorb recoil, it only allows for better positioning of the rifle in your shoulder. This can make shooting the rifle more comfortable but it won't completely tame an unruly rifle. Kickeez are the only aftermarket recoil pads that I can honestly recommend to reduce recoil. I'd suggest the use of a tuning kit with non-metallic spring guide and top hat which will make the firing cycle less harsh coupled with a quality spring. Sadly my own attempt at tuning a HW95 using less expensive components did not go well, like your experience the gun is now rather unpleasant to shoot which is a real pity so it will need another rebuild before it can be sold on.
