I worked at Tesla starting in July of 2017 as an Operations Analyst out of the Bethlehem, PA distribution center facility and left as a Program Manager based out of Austin, TX as of September 2021. I spent most of my time in the distribution and supply chain organizations.
Before Tesla, I was a Director of Business Intelligence and Pricing at the largest Pet Food & Supply distributor in the US, Phillips Pet Food & Supplies based out of Easton, PA. My wife and I also owned a small business in Bethlehem, PA between 2016 and 2019.

Strong BUY. Still early innings. NVIDIA is the dominant leader in AI and the preferred technology partner globally. Even w new competition on the horizon, NVIDIA is far ahead of the competition. 85% market share. 76% margin. Unrivaled demand for new Blackwell chip. Demand far exceeds production for Blackwell through to 2025 and beyond. No competitor has anything close to Blackwell. And forward P/E is about 33 (cheap for a high growth stock). Buy this stock and wait. You will be rewarded.

Problem is that NVDA is addicted to the datacenter, their mobile offerings are terrible. Inference needs to happen at the edge (mobile) and training will not have the same amount of demand as time goes on. NVDA is a major bet on aggregation of resources (compute) but this is cyclical as we have seen dozens of major shifts in this industry. Remember when Citrix aggregated desktops with VDI and then it imploded because VDI has a problem with latency? AI Inference in the datacenter has the same problem with latency. AAPL and Samsung are the best buys for AI now that we are transitioning from training to inference. If you are in cross roads or need sincere advise on the best moves to take now its best you seek a pro who knows about the financial markets. Cheers and good luck!

I think that the copper is used to transfer data. As in, copper cables, as opposed to glass fibre cables. At these speeds, copper wires really are starting to struggle and usually glass fibre is used, but that needs electricity of it's own to run I guess?

It is capital intensive and expensive to operate LLMs. I don't see how they make money. Tesla has cars and bots so interacting with these machines via grok makes sense. I could see royalties or service fees from Tesla to use grok, but LLM search doesn't really make financial sense, though it is cool. Maybe the real goal is AGI and LLMs are just a stepping stone.

I really doubt Tesla will develop Dojo further. Elon only has Tesla do what other companies can't supply it. Just like Elon said that the 4680 project was a hedge against battery scarcity....Dojo, IMO, was a hedge against a GPU shortage. Therefore I believe that as long as Tesla and XAI can get GPUs from NVIDIA in the quantities they need I don't think they will need to push Dojo.

Tesla develops products that are best for it's specific purpose. Not a generalized product like the NVidia. The Dojo chip is best for what it does so it is developed to be better than any generalized solution.

NVidia providing pre trained models? That would make them an AI company, but they are just enablers through hardware acceleration. They will need someone else to provide data for model training, regardless of the use case scenario.

Mercedes will create the cars for FSD next year !!! That means as Elon said in his last conference call. It will take car makers 3 years to get their cars ready, for all the needed camera's and inference computer. And then there need to be enough cars to learn the FSD neural network. Tesla has millions of cars already to learn FSD for all countries and regions.

Simple question: How do us humans earn the money to buy the goods produced by the robotic factories? There is a point of diminishing returns, where costs stand at a static minimum, yet there is now nobody with sufficient means to purchase those very cheap products. It's a return to 3rd world economics where the stuff exists, but outside the customer's means to access it.

It's operational. I'm not sure why Tesla is so quit about it, but they said there are Dojo clusters chewing data at Tesla. And from various rumors we know that Tesla ordered a lot of chips, and that the next generation is coming too, with a 3rd already planned. I think Samsung said that gen. 2 chip is in production, but I'm not sure.
