GFN definitely has it's place if you are economical and not a round the clock gamer.

This is probably done so they can service/manage the servers. If there is no limit it is pretty hard to get a server empty to patch and reboot for example. At the end of the day there is no equity in your money spent! Dropped it 6 months ago. 1.5 G internet connecting at 400 mbit. The latency wasn't bad but noticeable and very discernable compression on the 4080 premium tier. Also a bug where the Steam client would hang trying to "install" game to the point where it would not execute at all. Regarding cost, no matter the math, if you drop a boat load of money on the pay tiers for the coming years at the end of it all you will have an even slower computer. If equity isn't an issue then Game Pass Ultimate will give you games and performance on almost any device these days. Although restricted to 1080P, if used through a PC with an AMD card you can use FSR when supported.

I really enjoy GEForce Now, i came over from there before i built my new computer not long ago and was playing on a mac air.. It is the best cloud gaming service hands down. I did try xbox, stadia when it exist which was pretty good also. Can't afford buying a computer this is a pretty cheap option even taken the high tier which you should get for amazing performance.

Personally I find Xcloud servers are better and less laggy more stable on my side but GeForce now is really amazing you don’t need to download and install the game and on top of that update the game lool just plug and play 😊👍👌

I used GeForce Now for some months, sadly here in south america, Abya offers a poor service. I was playing with Rtx 2060 when I was luck, other times it would give a GTX 1060. And if that wasn't bad enough, they usually were doing maintenance during the holidays in my country.

Some MAJOR downsides: - No mods. - You don't own it. - Limited play time. And you can similarly finance a GPU purchase (either bank credit or split payments) and you'll actually own the thing and will be able to resell. This is an impressively bad deal for the consumer.

I can see this being pretty good if your GPU dies or if you dont have a decent GPU, and it is good for progress to be made in this area. The people leaving negative comments aren't really the target audience for this type of thing anyway, which is fine. It seems like a similar thing when people say "why would i get a steam deck if i can just get a gaming laptop" well, theyre totally different products for different use cases lol. Questions- Can we combine this with Gamepass or any other subscription? Does it install the games the first time (on the remote PC) or can we start playing right away? How does it work on the TV? Do you need a controller for it or do KB Mouse work fine? What's the connection speed required?

This is how I've been playing games I want to play in RT. Next. Black Myth Wukong on Geforce Now. I play Wirelessly on my UW. No issues of latency. Not a great experience in First Person Shooters, but that's to be expected. They had a special, I'm paying only $10 a month, but they also had it $50 for 6 months. Even at full price its not bad having a 4080 for $20 a month. They do need to expand the games. Can't play Sony games or Rockstar games for example. It did make me want to get a 4070tiSUPER though. Might just wait for the 5080 though.

I keep my GPUs for an average of 7 years since 2009. Not talking about the limit to "session length" or whatever that means either. Considering I spend a maximum of 500$ CAD on a GPU ( It was 300$ for the HD5850 and 400$ for the GTX1060, 500$ for a 6 months used LHR 3070 ). 1344$ CAD for 7 years for 1080p ( I'm on 1440p ). 2688$ CAD for 7 years of "ultimate". Nope, just nope Nvidia, I ain't buying your grossly overpriced service.
@theofficialpollo2 ай бұрын
To be fair most people don't keep their GPU for 7 years, that's a looong time, I kept my 1060gb for almost 5 years due to the pandemic and I felt like that was way too much, It started to struggle to keep up. But I get it. I rather much more have my own GPU even if it's lower end rather than a high end borrowed one. Plus I already have a pretty powerful 7900 GRE so there's no reason whatsoever for me.

If you’re a multi gamer household then that is subscription x gamers in the house, last time I looked there wasn’t a family subscription option Priority was based off a 3080 if I remember right Their prices need to come down before it becomes worth it to a stationary household. It comes into its own if you are a person that is always travelling but then you will need to pay for monthly 5g data dongle because you wouldn’t use a hotels wifi for this It’s a great idea but with Nvidia pricing

What? I bought a month to try it out. I bought Ultimate 4k 120fps and play with 1440p ultrawide. The experience is shit - it's stuttering like it's 50 fps and there is latency as well AND key presses get lost. It gets better if you turn down the stream quality but the image looks like shit then. I have 250 Mbps internet (on ethernet, no wifi). Ping to GeForceNow server is 20 ms. Already tried all the config hacks, tips and tricks.

@@AncientGameplays I played with the settings, Vsync is on, VRR is on. To be fair: Today came an update for GeforceNow and I also disabled the setting "Adjust for poor network conditions". I played today and the experience was acceptable. Latency was much better, less stuttering. But still not 120 fps, feels like 50-60 fps on local hardware. You think Ultrawide is the issue here? I think now GeforceNow is a good option to bridge the time if you are waiting for new generations of CPU/GPU to come out (like me) and you play singleplayer games.

"Frame gen makes games unplayable" and here fabio is having a decent experience on a remote gaming setup. People crap on upscaling and framegen for some reason. I think it is "traditional" to run all native and people are afraid of new things. Frame gen is the sheet 100%. Although, if i were playing remote I would probably try to get 80fps without fg. Still.. obviously playable.

1090€ for 5 years of very noticeable inferior experience... sounds like a scam. And that value can be fully funnelled into the rig itself, meaning that you always need to buy peripherals (headset, monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc) either with GeForce Now or your own rig, so this value can be fully dedicated to the rig.
@AncientGameplays2 ай бұрын
Disagree, depends on where you live mainly. Remember you can use it on your TV, tablet, etc. AND after the new gpus get release, the gpus from geforce now will get updated as well...if you're buying new, 700 euros is a price of a low to mid range pc here... But like stated, this all comes to what people want or need. Fo i believe this is great for a full time solution? Nope, of course not. Is this grat to use for 2 or 3 months when out of money to upgrade? Maybe
