Came into the comments for this, haha. I just found your channel a couple of videos ago with your laptop docking station video, and you have really great content! I mean, honestly. Good editing, B-roll footage, and an actual script. You don't see that often on KZbin these days. I've found the 1050 Ti to work pretty well for me in Krita, Blender, and (what I've started doing in it) Lightworks, and it's overkill for my gaming needs. I think that this is honestly an amazing 1080p graphics card for the price.

1050 is already a GT*X* card! Atleast i would consider all GTX cards as midrange or better because there are MANY cards lower then that, 1030, MX150, ... especially laptop GPUs. And the X gives the comsumer the hint that the card is Gaming-Capable, which in my oppinion means it can play all modern games at 1080p Medium or higher

well, if he doesn't game that often the FX is still a valid option because for rendering (NOT for gaming) these have a similar or even better performance then i7s from the time. I will still hold on with my FX8150, because I still can do almost everything I want pretty well with it. Except some games like Battlefield 1. in Bf1 it really bottlenecks my R9 280X card (about the same as the 1050Ti) on some 64 Player maps. but on the most maps even BF1 at 1050@Ultra still works very well with 60-90 fps. But 64 players and it drops to 40 fps every 30 seconds, sometimes even to 30 FPS which is definitively noticable

Yes the fuck it can, if you have an expensive 8 core cpu with hyperthreading it being overclocked and try and pair it with a geoforce gt 7600 you'd be better off with the integrated gfx

I want to see beam.ng drive. Whats the highest resolution you can max the video settings, with 10 to 15 cars in the scene, without dropping frames below a preconceived number. Id like to know the difference there. I run beam.ng on my computer from time to time, but not a lot cuz once i start the game at 720p, my computers already bitching and moaning, but manages 60 fps according to fraps. But once things start moving, it drops to 30 or less. I can manage the fps drop by lowering settings, which are at the lowest preset now. But when i add more cars, i can manage 30-40fps with collisions turned off. But after that my car show turns into slow cars.

And im running a hd7750 1gb. Paired with 4gb ddr2 (going to be upgraded), and a xeon e5420. I have dual x5450 and everything i need to install. Except thermal paste. I would paste it up, but this is a core 2 era xeon im talkin about here.

It bottlenecks my Ryzen 1400. It's good with an FX 6300 or a i3 6100. But with newer proccesors it just doesn't perform good.

i would just lower the battlefield settings to the lowest possible, then you would probably have close to 60FPS@4k.... at least low settings did the trick for my laptop with 2 GT650Ms for Battlefield 1. I skipped BF4, but i really love BF3 (except the ugly Battlelog Browser interface which they only fixed for BF4)

You are using PCIe 2.0 but you shoud use 3.0, so the benchmarks are not representative. Also 1050ti is definitly not midrange GPU. But I like your videos anyway. (sorry for my english)

Why are you trying to do 4k work on an entry level graphics card, it was never designed to handle 4k, not at any reasonable FPS and decent graphics setting. Where I had to stop watching and you lost all credibility in this comparison is when you refereed to the 1050 as a mid range monster. The 1050 is entry level at best. Mid range you're moving up to the 1060, high end was the 1070, and the creme de la creme was the 1080. At no point has the 1050 been mid range, or a monster. Maybe at simple bitch espots titles like league, games you can get 200 FPS on a potato.

1050ti is low end. mid end is the 1060. you know that because the 1060 is half as fast as the highest end solution (excluding titans). you can hardly call something considerably slower than high end solutions from 2 generations ago (780ti >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1050ti) "mid end". btw for that price you could have gotten a used 970, which would probably perform around 40% better than this.
