@CocoBanaka2 жыл бұрын
Yeah image scaling pretty cool specially on open world games but there's one glitch which is whenever I turn it on and restart PC open browser try to watch something the video doesnt show instead screen becomes green while you can hear the sound but video doesnt show but when you turn off image scaling it seems to be fine.

you could turn off hardware acceleration in your browser or try another browser. maybe update drivers (ik im very late)
@TenkaichiMeister2 жыл бұрын
Image Scaling is for GPU Bottleneck (wanting to get more FPS + don't mind potential loss in quality) DSR is for CPU Bottleneck (when enough FPS and you want better quality)

If the game supports dlss, just turn dlss to balanced instead of quality...

Just tried it on Overload with my 1650Suoet and the latency is ridiculous. Might be ok for an RPG game but fast twitch gaming is a no no.

I mean my pc is a mixed bag... cpu it's lacking bad for the time being... but gpu you won't find anything better lol. I'm still in the middle of getting everything I need to finish my upgrade. but I couldn't pass up on my strix 4090 (like I said you won't find much better). but then the poor thing is being bottlenecked so hard by a 10850K lol. but it is what it is for now. eventually I'm going to be switching to either a 7950X3D or a 14900K and some DDR5 ram. with that said in most games I play at 1440p I'm averaging around 180 to 270 fps depending on my settings and which game I'm playing. and to be clear my monitor is a KTC G27P6 1440p 240Hz OLED and the fact that my system can push that (with DLSS on ultra performance) I'm pleasantly surprised the cpu isn't holding the gpu back as much as I expected it to fr. but you can definitely tell it is. technically I'm new to pc gaming (kinda) as I've only been on pc for about 2.5 to 3 years and I didn't know Nvidia image scaling was even a thing lmao. but tbh now that I've kinda looked into it I seriously doubt it would really help me gain many frames with my current setup (that's why I explained it in the first part) but I could be wrong lol

I play Isle Evrima and i have a 1080p monitor. The game is little blurry even at 1080p but works fine on other games. How do i sharpen it?
@Ohem12 жыл бұрын
So nvidia made a competitor to FSR, but also make DLSS moot since it’s locked to hardware. Sure DLSS perform better results but given time I’m sure FSR/NIS will catch up.
@Jerome-iwnl11 ай бұрын
Nis and rsr will never catch up because they are on the driver level. Whereas fsr and dlss use in game data and motion vectors with AI to predict pixels on the page.

What percentage do you recommend in mage scaling if im running at a 1440p 16inch screen but i want to scale it to the original 1080p? Since 1080p looks blurry on my 1440p laptop screen
@flonga15 ай бұрын
Can it upscale to resolutions higher than 100%? Like supersampling? I want to do 125% or 150%. But I just looked in the control panel and that provides an error. And this video is two years old.
@nogoodcharlesgaming4 ай бұрын
probably just use DSR for that

Don't need those nvidia gimmicks....just turn off anti-aliasing and ambient occlusion.....fps should shoot right up. Turn off some shadows and other little stuff will help.
@abbytakano33402 жыл бұрын
"just turn off anti-aliasing and ambient occlusion...turn off some shadows" Lol. So, basically make the game look like crap just to maintain the resolution? No, thanks. Those downgrades are very obvious and are noticeable even when you're running around, unlike a little bit of loss in texture fidelity, which is barely noticeable, if at all.
@GrimDim2 жыл бұрын
@@abbytakano3340 Yeah I'm with you when it comes to keeping anti-aliasing on but, ambient occlusion is motion blur levels of garbage.
@abbytakano33402 жыл бұрын
@@GrimDim for me, AO turned off makes the image look flat. But I respect your preference. My gripe with the original comment is it disregards NIS as unnecessary because you can just turn off basically almost everything.
@janvandenhooren93972 жыл бұрын
@@abbytakano3340 nis is amazing when you have inconsistent fps between 50 and 60 and are already on low settings. It can be the perfect boost to have a rock solid 60 fps in a big open world
