the lockbox is a good idea in residential applications too. Basically your entire router should also be in a locked cabinet attached to the wall.

I enjoy a good clean cable run. Really depends on the environment though. Sometimes we needed our cables to be completely hidden but if it wasn't an absolute necessity I found it great to use raceways on some aspects. Great for troubleshooting.

Great video on typical surveillance system install issues and how to resolve them. FYI - It's not necessary to install the NVR near the monitor and have to deal with all those camera cables coming through the wall. Install the NVR up to 50 ft. away and just use a single long HDMI cable to the monitor or use HDMI Extender box to extend the HDMI cable up to 300 ft. Reolink NVR software allows you to control the NVR without physically needing to touch the NVR buttons. I would alos like to mention that the Amazon Basic Wireless mouse works great with the Reolink NVR.

Not really because of all the cables behind the NVR, the straps will get in the way.

Very nice! I hope at some point they'll want an UPS for the NVR. I have mine on one and it will continue to record for another 30 minutes or so with 10 cameras.

I would just use some kind of MDF board or something like that, mount the NVR and PSU on it then attach it to the wall, this will require only 2 holes. Reolink NVR software is the same as their Windows app?

Check building codes, some states prohibit data & electrical cables being ran through one gang box.

From what I have seen from other videos, crooks don't care of cams being present, they just wear their hoodies. most cams are up high so if they don't look up they are fine. We need some type of hidden in plain sight, cams looking up from the floor, we might be able to catch a glimpse of their eyes or hopefully they're not wearing a covering their face. What have ya got for us for that?

You can always hide a camera and place it in lower level if that is what you want.

Would it be possible to hide the bottoms network cable and power cable. To prevent disconnection by any intruder.

Yes, you can do that too. Power has to be exposed out of the wall due to being a kit and has to follow code but you can just install the top outlet and hard wire it to your home.

I'm trying to hide my reolink nvr but the power cable is way too short. I didn't want to run it through the wall because I didn't know if it would be a fire hazard. Any recommendations for longer cable?

I’m not sure of your setup but you are right, you don’t want that cable go thru a wall. You most likely need to hardwire another outlet near it.
