Nice review. I have the unit. Had it for a month now. Was hard to find onedi to being out of stock.I have a 2020 RGS.and I also have the RF stage 5 speaker kit which includes the subs. The EQ can use some tweaking with an update to the software. I have a DSR1 that I'm going to get installed next week to had more adjustability. Overall my system is loader.also. I did away with the RF 6.5s in the fairing and installed the Hertzs neos. Now if I can get the Hertzs 6x9 neos to fit in the lids, I will be set. But of course you know that's impossible do to the subwoofer enclosures. Thanks for the review brother

Nice review and see you like the boom! later version radio which I have. Problem is, it doesn’t play nice with third party bluetooth headphones 🎧 or headsets which is why I am moving on to either this one or sound stream si v2 tnx

I'm not to familiar with Android auto and I have an android but interested in the rockford unit does this mean I can't use Bluetooth capabilities

I read an article that Google is moving away from support for android auto and they are the ones that are not allowing it on new units.

Google got rid of the app. You can only use Android Auto if the vehicle has it on the infotainment system.

Pretty cool with basic features, Soundstream is good but the average user will. not use all the features on the HU. Same as car audio, when you use a separate DSP all the features of the aftermarket cover nobody will use. Some HU should be stripped down for that reason.

Google stopped taking applications for aftermarket companies to support Android Auto. Only companies who were already enrolled in the program can have certified Android Auto at this point. That is the reason Rockford cannot add Android Auto on their head units. Some cheap companies may add it but the product will not be certified make a note of that.

$1199 - I just bought one. It's for the Head Unit only. If you find one, buy it. They are hard to come by due to the new normal bullshit.

I was going to pass as well, I have the stage 3 and wanted the head unit. I installed a ZZAIR DUO now I have android auto, works great.

I think the interface was purposely left generic to match the bike. Watching you go through the menu it really looks like it could be factory. Have you or will you do a video why you like the GTS radio better and would you recommend switching to the GTS if you already have a soundstream.
