Murdoch's Whistle | A Buried Truck Story

As a former volunteer at the Mid-Hants Railway (the Watercress Line), I am very familiar with Murdoch's basis: the BR '9F' 2-10-0s; having worked on Murdoch's preserved '9F' sister-engine No. 92212. So, this story with Murdoch as the main-focused character is brilliant. It is great to see him in the spotlight again - he is certainly quite a character for a big heavy-freight engine.

I love this story, a big engine that loves peace and quite can’t find any as his driver abuses the whistle… leading Murdoch into trouble…

That was a fantastic story. It's one of my favourites, Murdoch having problems with his new driver, and the sound of his whistle being overused is enough to annoy him. What a way for Murdoch's driver to learn his lesson at the end :) .
