I agree the NWSL needs to make it a whole weekend that fans like me will plan in advance (no matter which two teams make the final) when the venue is announced just to attend the many events, meet current or former players from other teams, and watch the different live shows (like this one and the Sam Mewis one) while watching the final. Like the NWSL has so many devoted fans that will travel from all over just for the Championship Weekend Events!!! I hate that I missed it this time around, but I'll be going next year if this is something done next year. Los Angeles should put their name in for next years NWSL Championship location! 🙏

Great show Tobin & Christen, always enjoy your passionate input. I think that the Liga MX femenil final was superior than the NWSL final. They filled up the stadium with 55,000 people, the whole game and final was superb. I love to see the women game grow worldwide.

100% on board with Tobin - and she said it perfectly, you need to have a muscle to find what should be readily available everywhere, including online. Getting better but It's ridiculous in The Women's Game today. Listen to what Emma Hayes said recently in one of her latest interviews; I think possibly after the Wembley game. As an immense fan of The Women's Game all over the world for many years now, and it is crazy how The Women's Game still has to fight, tooth and nail.

Great episode! I wish the people behind KC’s stadium had seen the vision and decided to go for a larger stadium from the jump. It seems very “one step forward, two steps back” to me to limit the progress of women’s sports by underestimating the amount of fans that would go to the games. About the championship game, I agree I wish there had been more goals. A back and forth goal fest is fun and exciting so I wish it had gone that way. I kept waiting for a second goal to be scored, but I’m glad Orlando won, and Marta was able to have her mom there to experience her triumph. I’m also happy that Tobin has a big imagination and we’ve gotten to experience the joy and passion that her and Christen bring to the ReCap show!

I don’t know what the nwsl can do about privately owned stores deciding where to put different merchandise. Especially what is almost assuredly bootleg merch. But in nyc i will say i’ve never seen gotham merch for sale anywhere even soccer specific stores. So current already ahead of others.

The only critique I would give this show is the vastly different clothing styles they wear. One is very business casual the other 50s biker wear. They know they aren't going to get as many people so they want a full stadium if its a small stadium. Does she have any idea the amount of money her idea would cost? She's a great entrepreneur? I don't think she understands how it works bc shes been at the top of her sport for so long.

Many of the playoff games sold out 19,000. They could have easily filled a bigger stadium...
