Long story short: nxt has to be the best main stream indie style promotion there is. Performers are all incredibly technical and so many of the wrestlers are ready for the main wwe shows. Only problem is they may not be ready for promos and larger tv time but damn this PLE was fantastic. Also all around applause for the crowd, can’t wait for tonight and tomorrow

It was good, but they did the chair swanton spot too early, and it hurt the match imo, as the rest couldn’t live up to how huge that spot was, and it would’ve been a great final spot, before he picked Dijak up, and powerbombed him unto Briggs. Rox-C and Lyra was very good throughout for me, and it was very fun. (But I’m also a sl8t for extremely technical/working a body part matches)

Dijak is my personal MVP of NXT. The Guy puts on Bangers all the time
@MrrynАй бұрын
Guy gets the short end of the stick so much and so undeserved. Bangers with Keith Lee but never going over, wasted on the main roster with the mess that was Retribution, let go, came back reinvented as himself again, constantly puts on bangers again including this match here where he makes Briggs and Oba look like a million bucks each...but again comes up short. He is a genuine super workhorse and it just sucks because he could easily not only be doing this on the main roster but could have been for literally years now.

Williams vs Trick is how I feel going from an NXT PPV to a WWE PPV.

A submission move winning by tap out... at all... is a breath of fresh air. WWE is usually so afraid of having the one taking it look weak by tapping that the only way it ends is ropebreak or pass out.

I agree on needing midcard belts but why can't the Women's belts have there own designs? It kinda devalues all the Women's belts for me when they are all just copies of the Men's belts but with white straps☹️☹️☹️☹️
@kingvampstanАй бұрын
I agree, but to play Devils advocate, the NXT women’s belt specifically, has been white for a minute, and also has different colors than the men’s, and it makes perfect sense to me. But they could’ve done the South American Championship or something else, maybe a cool custom name.
@dr.atheist3087Ай бұрын
Yeah, I think the trend of doing the women's belts like this started with the nxt women's belt. Unless you wanna count the era of network logo wwe women's championship belts.

@biggie_a6466Ай бұрын
Nice to see some Baron Corbin praise
@TheRavenholmeАй бұрын
I'm just convinced that Bron Breakker can't have a bad match. And this time, by extension, he's lifting up Corbin to some insane levels too - catching the powerbomb after the frankensteiner was seriously a work of art (Corbin legitimately is looking the best he has in his entire career and if he keeps it up, he'll have no problem in his eventual return to the main roster). It's absolutely bonkers to think the Wolf Dogs actually managed to nearly outperform Frazier and Axiom but it was close and ngl, the 12-man ladder match actually has a lot to live up to. I was disappointed in the winner of the triple threat match, I was 100% pulling for Dijak to finally touch some gold but that match was so fucking good that it was a wash in the end. Absolutely brutal, but _not_ the big man match you'd have expected for all the reasons you pointed out. Everybody looked amazing here and it promises so much for all of their futures. Oba Femi's destined to be a more-than-perfect replacement for Brock Lesnar, the dude is an outright _demon_ in terms of strength and was clean af with his moves. I don't need to glaze Dijak any, the shit he pulled off in this match (the senton, those discus boots) speaks for itself. And Josh Briggs made a fan outta me. That top rope lariat was monstrous and I can only imagine what an execution it'd look like on anybody other than friggin' Dijak. As much as it pains me to admit it, because as big a Bron fanboy as I am (moreso than Dijak), this was match of the night and has potential for MotY status. The six woman tag match was a surprisingly good follow up. Absolutely loved the unhinged, Ultimate Warrior-esque vibes Thea Hale gave off and maybe I'm just a slut for submissions, but the Kimura Lock could really take Thea places if they keep up the intensity. Otherwise you nailed it. The women's title match . . . I'll admit, Roxanne's managed to make me dislike her character but by the end of the match I was thrilled that she won. It was just an awesome wrestling match. I'm not gonna lie, I loved the Ilja/Tony match but found myself pretty frustrated with the outcome (I genuinely think Ilja's ready for the main roster and more than believe Tony D'Angelo deserved the W; I've been over on The Family for a while now). Not enough to make me dislike it but just a big sigh of disappointment - that said, this feud's got places to go and I am 1,000% down to see the Don get down and fuckin' dirty with it. If he goes tweener or heel, I feel like we'd be absolutely blessed because of just how perfect D'Angelo's character really is. But, regardless, loved the fact that it was a brawl and at least appreciated the finish: I mean who tf is gonna kick out of a top rope H-Bomb? A respectable loss and overall, a match with a lot of amazing story behind it that can (hopefully) only lead to good places. Yup: been saying that Trick and Carmelo are absolutely the next Triple H/Shawn Michaels feud and this match proved it. They work so friggin' well together and are so damn good at their craft that you can really believe their beef is legit. You can tell this is nowhere near the end but also serves to give a fantastic feud it's first real pause, because Trick actually took the W clean af. Sure his knee-strike needs some work before it looks like a proper decapitation/skull-destroying event, but after how personal the feud's been . . . this was good. Ranked it's probably match 5 of 6, but the show was so stellar it hardly mattered. Absolutely got me pumped for how tonight's gonna turn out.
