New York City is such a huge city and there is always soooo much to do. I can see you were very busy! I loved the Barbie Exhibition! The Museum of Art & Design is a huge building!!! Were you really able to see the entire exhibit in one day??? I love the fact of Ruth Handler's saying "Barbie represents a woman had choices." I am old, and I remember a woman could either 1) Marry and have children 2) Be a teacher or 3) Be a nurse. That was our choices. Now- Women can be anything they want! I am sooo proud of how far women in the USA have come. I am from that generation that played with baby dolls and paper dolls (Betsy McCall). I remember when I got my first bubble cut head Barbie. I remember when they put out the black Christie. She was sooo black she was dark green. I am a black American, and I was not happy with the black-green Christie. But, Mattel got better and kept trying. When I grew up I had a daughter. She had the Barbie A-frame house. She had the Barbie townhome. And she had Barbies. My daughter is a 48 year old woman, and I still collect Barbies and Kens for myself. I enjoy "playing" with my Barbies and Kens. Oh, yeah- I grew up to be a teacher. I love my career as an educator, but, wouldn't it have been nice to have choices back then??? I remember wanting to be a nun. I enjoyed this video sooooo much!!! I felt as if I was there with you. Thank you, Azusa, for sharing your NY Barbie Trip with us!!!

WOW AZUSA!!! This video was AMAZING! I loved seeing all the Barbie’s from all the decades! And that Barbie car was so pretty!!! Do you know what they used to make the dolls stand up? Most do not seem to be using a clear stand but seem to be on just a clear piece of acrylic in the first half of the video.
