Congratulations to Ethan! Great to see some of the younger generation interested in hunting. We just started getting some of that fine wet snow/ white rain around 8 this morning, here just south of Oswego. You guys stay safe and we hope you have a great Thanksgiving….

We’re getting pounded right now, Forecast was for 3” two days ago but now we’re supposed to get a foot. 🤬 Hate these early snows cuz the driveway is not frozen yet and the snow is heavy. 🤬🤬 What that rifle you got hanging up there Tim ? Good to see some daylight action from the blinds. Congrats to your Grandson Rick , good job putting some meat in the freezer, that’s what it’s all about. 👍 Good luck this weekend guys ! Happy Thanksgiving !!

@@bucktalesoutdoors7566 we are at about 6" now. Same deal, the grounds not frozen. We were in the 1-2" range now they are saying 10-15. I won't get started on the reliability of the weather men. Tim is carrying a molsin nagant. An old rifle revitalized. Shortened, restocked, scoped, adjustable timminy trigger assembly with safety installed. 7.62x54r. 165gr. Noslers cruising around 2850fps. My grandson is becoming quite the woodsman. Hunts, traps, fishes, really a good kid.

@@Twobrothersoutdoors yeah these weathermen 🙄😂🤣😂 all the technology in the world, still get it wrong more often than they get it right. Cool on that gun ! Love it. Good to see your Grandson is living the outdoorsman’s life…. He comes from good stock.
Rick what are you planting in that woodland food plot given the acidity of the soil and limited light? Ive tried a lot of seed, but limited results. Can you let me know what you're planting? Congrats on your grandsons deer.

@@nicholascurto2093 we lime and throw wood ash out in the food plot every spring. We buy 50 lb bag of plain horse oats at runnings and sow the field several times during the summer. We also throw out a bag of no till deer mix. It's the cheapest we can find at runnings. In late summer we throw winter rye out. We end up with a field full of what looks like weeds. But it stays green even with snow on it and the deer are constantly in it. We are also in our woods constantly cutting trees, we leave the tops behind. The deer have gotten use to us and just hang around. Once it snows you can drop a maple tree and the deer will hover around the tree for several days eating the twigs from the top. Same with yellow birch.

We didn't get snow earlier either. This morning, we have about 4" and we're only showing 5-9" forecast. Where did Ethan get his deer, I see there's snow on the ground? Happy Thanksgiving to you and Sharon and Tim!
