It gives them a chance to speak their truth. It's not an optimal method for them but it's also a way to find out if they felt pressured to go with Lively or if they found Baldoni guilty of what she says he is. Of course, they should get the support of the public. They put up with everything.

@@charisma-hornum-fries the problem is obviously they will not be believed if they support her. @@antonyka-pra-ra That’s completely fabricated. A huge Business Insider article details what’s been going on with Jonesworks. Due to Stephanie Jones bullying, toxic workplace and unethical practices basically several of her ex and current employees decided to band together and take her down. She had also been losing big clients such as the Rock and Bezos’ wife in the build up to this. So if anything, likely what happened is that Jennifer Abel convinced Baldoni to break away from Jonesworks with her, which he was happy to do because he could see Jones was toxic and a liability and he needed a stronger, more ethical Publicist in his camp.

When I had a work phone for a major financial firm I worked for I understood that the mobile phone was work property and my use of it - calls & text messages, etc. - was also considered work property over which I had no legal rights of privacy or control. Thus if I used said phone for personal matters I also lost any legal rights of privacy and control over those communications, too. Accordingly, I kept my personal cell phone and phone # for all personal communications. Firewall between business and personal. IDK the law in NY or California but I don't see how Abel and Nathan have solid legal ground to challenge the release of their communications using their former employer PR firm's company phones.

New Mexico prosecutors treated an accident like a premeditated homicide and every time they spoke publicly about the case the presumption of innocence was never asserted or assumed as required by the constitution. The prosecutors press conference statements were defamatory. Alec Baldwin had absolutely NO responsibility for safety on the set of the film, the prosecution gave a sweetheart deal to the man who in fact WAS responsible for on set safety, Dave Halls. The man who was supposed to check the prop gun before handing it to Alec Baldwin, he failed to check the gun but still called the weapon cold before hand it to Baldwin. Yet before they even knew that information they made definitive false statements about Baldwin’s responsibilities and then gave Dave Halls, the actual responsible party, the deal of a lifetime! Dave Halls history plus his plea deal lends a lot of credibility to Baldwin’s claims.

Also the prosecution of Hannah Gutierrez-Reed should require a second look. She had more responsibility to ensure the guns were safe; however, if live ammo was brought onto the set without her knowledge, her culpability is less. One thing the prosecution criticized her method of determining live rounds vs dummy rounds. Dummy rounds have a little metal bearing inside that will rattle (I was told this). Her method was to shake the box of ammo to hear if the box was live or not. The prosecution call this method unreliable; however, the prosecution's own experts used this exact method when they determined which boxes of ammo were live at the warehouse where she sourced her ammo.

I also find it interesting Freedman is everywhere with his threat of lawsuits - feels like he’s running a desperate public trial. I’m always wary of “let me shove it down your throat.” Freedman is also getting former clients in the press pushing his agenda. Also, why is it taking him so long to file a counter suit and did he sue NYT first hoping to get their evidence “1000s of pages” in discovery so they have an idea what BL has? A lot of their NYT screenshots are AFTER the date Abel was fired so NYT wouldn’t have access to that or any text, communications outside of Abel. Living in LA- There is so much more important things going on in the world. I hope ppl keep a sense of humor to cope as well as love. I personally thought the Deadpool shade was HYSTERICAL. RR is a comic actor and instead of going to a gym to workout, release your frustrations and feelings - he used humor. 🤣🤣🤣

Ugh, no. While I completely agree with the dismal of his case, it doesn't matter how many upstream people were supposed to make sure that the weapon was "cold". A person does not direct a deadly weapon at another person without independently validating that it truly is safe to do so. The person utilizing the deadly weapon is responsible for BASIC safety, no matter what. ADD that Baldwin was producer, he had a responsibility to make sure that he hired competent people and a safe environment...at a very high level, to be sure, but there was failure at EVERY level in this case.

SAG handles talent only. Each union handles & controls something specific on set from teamsters, medic, etc. MPE (Editors union) decides who gets editing credit on a film based on amount of time, scenes, etc edited by that individual. ONLY JB editors are credited which means BL edits were nominal and didn’t meet the standard for credit. Only Sony Studio has “final edit tirebreak” on the final cut as the financier/distributor. Wayfarer can sue BL for an alleged “take over blackmail” as it was their project. Respectfully, as much as JB team is pushing that narrative, it’s impossible for an actor to “take over” as talent unless they have some financial contribution or film rights. TOO MANY ppl involved in this project as “bosses” above BL. I’m interested if Hoover had input. If Hoover also had creative differences with JB. I’m interested in what scenes were edited. Reminder in the behavioral rider agreement they signed, a specific agreed bullet point was SAG COMPLIANT approved intimacy scenes make final edit not any added or improvised intimate scenes without BL approval. With that said, was she in the editing room with JB based on that agreement? (Btw, super common for talent to be in editing with director for nudity, etc scenes or see dailies and have notes - most if not all A-list talent have that in their contract re: intimate scenes - Final Cut approval on s*x scenes). A lot of JB incidents on set that he complains about is not unusual from talent which is one reason why I question his credibility.

@ I definitely have ?? That remain on his end - however her bully behavior along with husband and trying to twist into victim is disturbing - there’s videos with her pulling him re: intimacy, stating she didn’t want to meet with intimacy coordinator, interviews of her stating there was an intimacy coordinator and then pushing the narrative she was the intimacy coordinator- they should have cut the cord when she started her nonsense instead of letting her finish the movie

I believe Alec Baldwin deserved to have a full trial and prison time. He wa not behaving according to set guidelines, and because of him and Hannah, someone is dead and another person had a bullet in his back. They deserved consequences for this. Because of Morrissey, he will not see those consequences. All that said, Morrissey completely botched this, and SHE was the reason it was dismissed. Her constantly having trantrums were incomprehensible. She violated his rights and repeatedly tried to continue to do so. She deserves consequences for this, too.

@@gothgammy666 not really. There are many who hold this opinion. Those who think he’s innocent like you do are few. But we place more blame on Morissey doing a botch job at the moment. Don’t forget he’s got civil cases coming up too of plenty of others who do think he’s liable to some degree. What position he held won’t be relevant to most, all they know was he wasn’t just an actor. He was a producer and someone with authority and power on that set. He could not just treat it like every other set where he’s just an actor with a lot of saying power. Nor will anyone trust him to be in that sort of role again given the mess Rust was found out to be. Doesn’t help the BS Baldwin is spewing overseas.

I'm not convinced that Morrissey's statement on Fox constitutes defamation. That to me sounds very much like she was presenting _the prosecution's legal theory of the case,_ which is ultimately opinion even if it's presented outside of the courtroom. I don't think it would be a good situation if we established a precedent that every time a prosecutor says something to the public about what they believe the defendant to have done, they become liable for defamation if the defendant is found not guilty.
