sfg didnt make this video. sfg however did do a live stream of the game but aren't putting the video recording of that up because they werent happy with the quality. They have said they are working on an official production of a full playthrough video but nothing has come to light about it. I have emailed them directly asking what the status of this video is and I am awaiting a response (I only sent it yesterday)

I'm confused about the push mechanic. Maybe he's doing it right, but I have doubts, and he's the only one that has a decent guide on the game that I could find so far. The "Move forward" has the push indicator but he's doing: "Push", then "Move in Direction and Push". Shouldnt it be "Move in direction and push" instead? And if a boss doesnt have a push, but has "Move 2 towards Aggro" but Aggro is standing on the node with him? Does he "Face Aggro and move 2", or "Face Aggro and move 0" ?

at 10:18 I think he did this wrong... isn't it that the actions taken by the boss, executed from left to right on the boss card? The boss should have moved forwards (and hit the wall) before turning left which would put the warrior in the attack range. I assume this was just for demo as one of the characters would have probably died if he did this and ended the demo straight away.

Yeah, I imagine it was just for the demo. Also, the Dancer has a Block value of 2, which he wasn't taking into account. I'd say he wanted it to move as fast as possible so he could show off the Heat-Up.

That seems to be a trend with all of the videos I have seen so far. I am trying to find a full game-play video, to which I am unsuccessful :-(. I know Steamforged had plans to release one, but one has yet to come. However, I have listened to some podcasts from people who have had a full play through hands on with the board game at conventions and I like what I hear.

They recorded a livestream playthrough but decided not to release it on-demand, stating that they weren't happy with the quality of the video. I managed to piece together a Dancer bossfight from this demo, using a 5-card behaviour deck (instead of the 15 she'll have to be randomly selected) and the "Blade Dance" heat-up card and all the relevant stats for the Herald and Warrior as seen here. I don't think i'm missing anything for this admittedly narrow slice of the game, and I can confirm that even with just the same 5 cards to make up the deck, she's a tough fight. I've played through it 7 times so far and have yet to beat her.

I dont think that the heroes are intended to win with their stats and gear that they have in the current videos that are released. I do have a document which has the extracts of most images from the digital guide they have produced with detailed descriptions, including a few of the dancers abilities and some weapons. If you want it I can get you the link (I found it on a reddit post) and perhaps that might give you a bit more flavour and an edge to win? :)

That'd be great, cheers. It does seem that if you aren't maneuvering to weak arcs every time you attack,, or spend 3 stamina each attack, your chances of doing damage to her are slim. The 0 stamina attacks for both the Herald and Warrior in the demo is one blue dice, the highest result of which is 3, meaning only one damage goes through, provided you managed to even roll a 3. Perhaps it's intentional though, I wonder how powerful the weapons are outside of boss-specific and legendary ones.

I don't like the "you take no dmg when you roll a dodge, but else you get full dmg" seems like a luckfest tbh

Ziltoid That's how it is on the game, though. But I think you'll be able to maximize your "adaptability" so you get more invisibility frames (dodge dice) =P.
