I have watched EVERY season of Idol since it's inception; it is NOT a talent competition, it is a popularity contest. Nya's vocals were the best of the season and I can see them bringing her back to sing again on the finale. Don't forget they put together a traveling show to sell tickets every summer so she'll get to perform and make a few bucks. No one goes home empty handed anymore. Hopefully this can jumpstart her career because there were white girls galore being pitchy as hell but they had "angst" and "sadness" in all of their performances pulling on heartstrings. It is what it is.

She was one of my faves, and even though I knew she wouldn't last long, I was so mad she didn't get to top 12. The demographic that watches Idol highly favors country singers. Every year there's so-so country singers that get further than the most amazing soul/rnb singers. And the voting system is not fair. People on the west coast have to vote before the show even starts. I missed it last night thinking surely we could vote after seeing the performances, but no.

How tragic dat a star quality contestant is eliminated. Nya is easily among d top 3 best voices in this show. Well, if u continue to let d public decide on d singers' fate, d good singers wil b sadly eliminated. Its best to let d judges decide on technical merits until d finals whn d public's votes wil hv 50 % weightage only. At this rate, its utter waste of time watching A Idol bcos dey r more interested in their commercial success. D interests of d singers takes a back seat.
