I started listening to Dimash in the morning and I have seen a lot of reaction videos and more of his songs in between and I just can't stop, I mean, it makes me feel things I have never felt before with any other music or singer, I dont know how to explain it, but he is definitely out of this world, he is like the kind of genius that comes to this world only once in centuries, maybe the one before him was mozart or something, he not just have a perfect technique and amazing voice and genetics, but he manages to use those tools to communicate things in a level that is so, so deep, that can touch any person on this world, and for the ones like us that are in the music business I think the touch is deeper because artists tend to be more sensitive, I can't say no more.

Same with me. I heard one song a few weeks ago, and was totally taken over. Like you said, he makes you feel things you have never felt before. Something you cannot put into words. I have not stopped watching and listening to him every spare minute since. He has spoilt me from anyone else. I have listened to every vocal reaction since as I have no musical knowledge at all and just had to know what makes him so unique. I knew instantly that he was like no one else and had to know why. I love to watch others get blown away by him. I have never smiled so much in my life. I just sit grinning, like a proud parent or something (wish he was my son) watching people fall under his spell 😄😊💕

I think you are now one of his Dears ( that is what he call his fans, because they are close to his heart). He is 24 years old and is from Kazakhstan. You should read his Wikipedia page to find out more about him. Not only is he an amazingly talented singer with a staggering vocal range (C2 to D8) but he is also a composer, plays multiple musical instruments, sings in many different languages and is very humble and intelligent. The more you listen to him, the more you want. Warning... he is addictive!

I was so happy to see you react to another Dimash performance!!! As I said before, this is the song that won the audience and viewers. Imagine this... a completely unknown singer enters into a talent contest in another country, and he is competing against some of the best singers from that country. They put him on stage first, because they want to save the more popular singers for later. Then, he does THAT! Can you imaging what was going through the minds of the other competitors? The wonderful thing about Dimash, other than his phenomenal vocals, is the emotion he puts into each song. He pulls you in and makes you a part of the story, and it can be a roller-coaster of emotions at times. There is much more to experience, and I look forward to your next reaction to Dimash! Hi Nya, Great,Great reaction. As you now know this was his first performance in the competition and the other contestants hadn't been allowed to see him rehearse hence the shock on their faces in the green room. He has been studied and analysed quite a lot and the opinion seems to be he probably is the best singer around at the present. In fact last year in the comments an Italian professor of music and coaching said about the performance he was reacting to "This young man has just demonstrated every vocal technique that I know exists" … praise indeed. It takes an expert to be truly impressed by Dimash! So: Dimash is a very well-rounded musician, not just a great singer with a beautiful voice. You can see him playing the piano in Adagio (from Singer 2017); the dombra in Daididau; and the drums in Tribute to Michael Jackson. Also in Episode 10, he sings a song he composed at 17 or 19, “Unforgettable Day”. He started adding different elements, whether classical, cultural or modern, or just a mix, in All By Myself, something which he started developing more in Jasmine and perfected in Hello and Sinful Passion. In Screaming, you can see how he developed the original (written for him) (in the music video) into an amalgam of the original with three cultural elements and one modern one, in the live version on Idol Hits. He tried for the first time an acting gig in the live stage program Phantacity, in an 8-minute mini-musical Restart My Love. Basically, every song is amazing. But maybe one of my most favorite ones is Ocean Over the Time, which won the Hollywood Music in Media Award last year for Original Soundtrack for Video Game. There are so many great singers that have wonderful feel, tone, emotion and personality. The thing with dimash that I have yet to hear in any human is his skill level. No one has ever had this skill level. He may be not only the greatest singing talent, he may be the most talented musician on the planet right now. Drums, guitars, piano, cellos, any instrument. It is hard to believe his talent actually. I never thought one person could master every singing style at every single vocal range. Not to mention he has mastered the microphone and the stage. He has zero flaws. He can do anything he wants. He doesn’t have adjust the music to match what he can do. He can do anything he wants to do. Not only can he do anything, but there is nothing he does that seems in the least bit difficult. It’s not even hard for him. This makes him fearless. With his total lack of fear, he is going to take us places no musician has ever taken listeners before. This is awe inspiring to say the least

Competition for professionals. Competition for those who have already won somewhere. Dimash won "Slavianski Bazaar" in Belarus in 2015 and it gave him a chance to participate. Dimash opened 1 round (was the first). Nobody knew him in China. Host asked good (heat) to meet the newcomer. No one expected such a surprise! You saw how shocked the audience and other participants were after the show. Many thanks to China! He helped Dimash become world famous. Great reaction video! I can’t sing at all, and never listen to this type of music, but he blew me away when I stumbled across this “SOS” performance and I’ve spent the last few hours watching reactions to this performance. The better singers and vocal teachers are, the more shocked they are when reacting to this, because they know how hard it is. Aw, so happy to see you reacting to Dimash, he's amazing. Would love to see you reacting to So Hyang, she's a south korean singer, known for her controlled, skillful, and developed voice her goal is to use her voice to comfort people who are going through difficult times as she's gone through many hard times. Her vocal type is a lyric soprano. vocal range spans from D3 to A6 (consistent supported range from G#3 to E6), and the highest note she has publicly showcased is A6. Her belting range/mixed voice extends up to a Soprano C# (C#6) with a balanced mix while still maintaining complete breath support and resonance up to her highest note. So Hyang's also a cancer surviver (but unfortunately she can't have babies) due to all the chemotherapy she had to go thru, her immunity is low so she's often sick, has sore throat, pneumonia, which includes her "Raise Me Up" performance, she had pneumonia that day and the doctor even said that she shouldn't even speak yet she still did an AMAZING performance, would love to see you react to that. She's known as the Korean Mariah Carey, people describe, i'd recommend So Hyang - "Arirang Alone" "Fate" "Lean on Me" "Bridge Over Troubled Water"

Hey, thanks for this reaction 😄 you are so right as you can see in his vocal capability. He is gifted okay but he is studying so much for years. He is just 24 but imagine that he is studying for 22 years and he has just finished the university. He never drinks any of alcohol or drinks with acid inside. He sleeps well i mean he is taking care of his voice every time. He is technical perfection by the way. So, you said I am Italian then he sang in italian language too. I thank you for your comments, much like mine when I for the first time listened to Dimash, and it happened to be this very "Le SOS d'un terrien en détresse." -- Yes, Dimash has had a lot of studies and training since he was 5 years of age. At the time of his singing this SOS in a Singer competition in China, Dimash was 22. He just recently graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts, with a master's degree and diploma. He plans to go on to a doctorate. He is a full-fledged opera singer and was actually offered a position in the Kazakhstan National Opera. He turned down the offer. Dimash is not just an opera singer, he sings almost all genres of music.

Yes, Nya. You are absolutely right to study in his field, but most important is the amount of practice that goes along with it. Just taking a male singer: I am sure you have listened to many hard rock singers who are really good. Dimash, however, goes way, way, way beyond what is generally imaginable. I liked your reaction. Dimash is so good that I think it's best to limit the interruptions of his performance for want of a fuller, more complete appreciation. I hasten to say that you are not at all guilty of that. Reactors, generally, should at least, first, check the length of performance. Some Dimash reactors, after the first minute or so into his performance, quickly realise that there is so much going on already to comment on, that they stop and rather listen to the rest of the song first before continuing, which turns out to be better. Again, I like your reaction. Thanks.

I really enjoy your videos. You seem to have a nice voice yourself. I am happy that you see that amazing talent that Dimash is. I don't think there is anyone that is in his leage. Although there are a few that come close. Plus the awesome emotions that he sings with. He is such a huge entertainer. Lots of tears are shed when he sings. I will keep watching your vids. Thank you very much for your wonderful reaction video, it will be a great pleasure to follow your “discovering Dimash”. I discovered him by chance one year ago and since that time I hardly want to listen to anything else. You have no idea how much fun you will have discovering Dimash! The Big World saw Dimash for the first time, when Chinese TV invited a student of the 3rd year of Music Academy in Kazakhstan to participate in the competition “I am singer 1917” competing with the best performers from Asia. Dimash was known locally in the music circles in Kazakhstan and post-Soviet countries. He participated and even won some international competitions like “Slavonic Bazaar” 2015 in Witebsk (Belarus), but “the Big World never heard of him” until Chinese show in early 2017. The competition “I am singer” included 12 Episodes (probably 1 song per week). Speaking only Kazakhstan language, Russian and very little English Dimash performed in 6 languages (learning texts phonetically): in French, in Russian, in English, in Chinese (mandarin?) - a cover of a Japanese song, in Kazakh language (partly in Chinese) and in Italian (you will love the song "Confessa"). In the competition he was the second (in spite of more Episodes classified as 1st than anybody else). It seems the organizers wanted somebody local to win (they recommended the songs and the songs for the finals were not the best choice ect). However this competition made him within two months the hottest performer in China and whole Asia with hundreds millions fans! One year later Dimash was invited to “I am singer 2018 “ as a special guest during final episode where he performed “Hello” (Lionel Richie) . In the meantime he performed in big concerts in Kazakhstan and China with new fascinating songs, some composed by himself. He lives in China now, speaks Chinese and his English improved a lot. So today “the bigger half of the world”(Asia + it starts in Russia) is totally crazy about Dimash, and “the smaller half of the world” is not aware of his existence (with the exception of fan-clubs all over the world). It may change soon as on the 19th November there was a concert in London ! It will be a great pleasure for me to observe how “the smaller half” of the world discovers Dimash. Dimash (24) is probably the best vocally educated performer in the whole show business. He sings for more than 20 years, he is a multi-instrumentalist and a gifted composer. In the interview he said that his voice changed after puberty but not so much. His parents are renowned singers although he was raised according to tradition by his grandparents. He trained taekwondo for some years and swims a lot to maintain his breathing capabilities. He is a tall guy (191 cm). There is a recording, when he was a teenager, where he is strongly criticized by jury of some local competition, saying that he should not mix styles in his singing, that he should not boast of his vocal capabilities on every occasion and similar crap. His only reaction was a polite smile on his face. It is difficult to learn about Dimash as most of the materials are in Kazakh language and Chinese which I do not know or Russian (which I follow with difficulty). So singing SOS Dimash was totally new and unknown for the audience, still he was greeted warmly. Next week it was totally different. Every Chinese knows “Opera 2” by a Russian performer Vitas, who used to sing it many times in China during the last 15 years. So there were expectations and applause when the expectations were exceeded. I believe the expectations were exceeded so much that Vitas went to court in China to prohibit Dimash to perform any of his songs (as a copyright violation). So there is no performance of Opera 2, by Dimash after 2017, only some earlier performances. It’s worth listening to - you can imagine what will happen when this boy grows up ! During “I am singer 2017” competition everyone had to present his own composition. It was “Unforgettable day” Episode 10, composed when Dimash was 19.
