I'm from the US, and I watch videos like these with both an immense fascination, and an odd sense of...oh, I don't know...yearning, for lack of a better definition of my emotions. So I'm constantly asking myself "What is in these videos that I'm looking for that feels missing from my life? Is it a general, indescribable thing? A more in-tune way of being that I sense?" I just know that I see the attention to detail with the way you prepare, serve and even store food as an act of beautiful mindfulness that I feel is lacking in my own way of life. It's something my soul seems to gravitate towards, but I haven't quite managed to cultivate this in my life yet...and not for lack of trying, either. One part of my being wants the mindfulness, and another part of me fears it as another form of too much perfectionism, too much "trying too hard," if that phrasing makes sense. So I end up feeling stuck, at an internal impasse. 😖😔

@@nowirehangers2815 Mm, yeah, I see your point. I can see how you might perceive her videos as showing the positive only. Thing is, she lives in an entirely different culture to ours. It's kind of expected that people really keep up their living spaces in a huge way, generally speaking. Even if she had kids, she'd be teaching them to be super-tidy. And having been around a hoarder most of my growing-up years, her lifestyle is appealing. I think it's her level of mindfulness that I'm sensing. I think if people were more inclined to practice mindfulness, there would be less chaos and negativity. But that's how I tend to think. 🤷‍♀️

What an amazing way to put it! I just GORGE myself on this kind of content that embodies “mindfulness” and “slow living” and I always wonder what it is that makes me drawn to it. Maybe it’s the exact opposite of what’s pushed in the US, where you need to be productive nearly all the time and everyone yearns to live in the major cities and feed off the nightlife. I admire the sense of time management that these people have, something I can never seem to get a hold of, I feel like I’m rushing or restless all the time. It’s like watching people enjoy the life that you don’t give yourself permission to. Then I have a terrible nagging fear of missing out if I DO live a quieter life. It’s just a paradox!

@@hauntedmushroomsasmr7716 Oh, I totally get it! That FOMO feeling: "fear of missing out" is strong within a lot of humans, so we're not entirely alone there. But there is often a spot in our minds where we know slowing down would be extremely beneficial to our health, on all four levels. There's got to be a way for ppl like us to find that happy medium, where we're nailing the mindful time management but allowing ourselves that high-paced sense of fun. I know there is...but perhaps it's also down to the individual, and how each individual brain is wired. 🤷‍♀️

Love your presentation on your dishes. Had try making many of your dishes. I just notice how you present your food on the plate. I guess it helps makes you enjoy your meal better. Not like in America, were they just dumped your food on a plate and you proceed to shovel the it down your throat without chewing. Cooking and eating is not an enjoyment even in America. Enjoying what you have creative and share it with your love ones, that is priceless. I had gone through the 70’s at UC Berkeley. I’ve seen the beginning of how Socialism work on campus back then. I was a “Fine Art” 🖼 major and I got kicked out of UC Berkeley because they say I was too much of a radical, I was too good as a artist. I had master all the foundation skill of fine art. They just couldn’t teach me anything. Everything they taught me was too simplistic so I pushed the envelope and started to created a whole new painting style so they kick me out. Institution don’t like non conformist. (George Orwell “1984.”) I once was told I wasn’t PC correct, that I didn’t think as a collective it is because I am an individual, I think for myself. I take responsibility for my own decision and my own actions, I don’t need to be part of a group to make me whole. I go and find out what are the facts and make my own conclude for yourself. Knowing the truth will help enlighten your mind. I question everything that is spoon feed to me my the social media. I don’t except what they say till I find out for myself. That is how you become an individual and careful about labels and words they are going put on you because you don’t have the same conclusions. That’s how they get you to except what they believe by labeling you even if it not what you think.that how they get you to fellow them, they want to making you feel guilty, that is how sickening our society has become. We don’t have discussions anymore. We don’t talk about why you think that way? Instead we just dismissed people and stamped a label on them and put in a pigeonhole so they don’t have to think about what they are questioning or saying. That was what they did in UC Berkeley. I can have an opinion, weather it is opposite point of view or the same, that is my choice, it is the one of the right in our Constitution. If I did not believe in the Constitution. I would not have fought for that right. The Constitution gives all men, women, and all races, that right, it is what our founding fathers believe. I don’t need anybody to telling me what can do and not do or how I should think, that Socialism. They are telling you what should you believe. We have to take our responsibility for our own action and not be pointing fingers at people. I am taking care of my mother, she is dying.(bad heart). These video log is so helpful. It gives me a greater sense of peace and stability. It helps bring me closer to the simple things in life, cooking, cleaning, putting your house in order and spending some quality time with your family in my case getting to know my mother more, and sharing time with good friends, and good pets like Taco. 🌮 How you spent your time and believe that’s your choosing, that is your right, people went and fought and sacrifice their life to give you that right. I apologize for the long explanation but sometimes it saddens me to see how we get duped into excepting things without questioning for ourselves on “WHY” we believe in what we believe. The ability to think as an individuals people has fought so hard for that right don’t go and piss it away because you didn’t spend the time in finding out the truth. That is basically what they (Socialism) are hoping for you to do, to except their belief without question. A lot of people went fought and die to give you that opportunity to think for myself, to become who you are. So spend some time and know the truth. “The truth shall make you free.” (Martin Luther King) So, what is it going to be, are you going to take the red pill or the green pill? (Matrix) “Take Care and Be Safe.” 🖼
