Nice content bro, didn't see the swimming pool area though

Appreciate the support, bro! Good catch-this video focused more on the stadium upgrades, but there is aa section for the swimming pool at minute 44:57. But the swimming pool is not in use and not sure when it will be revamped.

Yes postponing was the right idea. It looks like it should be ready by August. All the best to the footballers come that season.
@ShiftingNews6 күн бұрын
That’s a fair take, Dylan! Postponing gives more time for proper renovations, and by August, we should see a much better facility. Hope it doesn't interfere with other schedules. Wishing our footballers all the best too! Thanks for tuning in and supporting our journey!

We have enough time to cover that stadium with Canopy. It looks old school. Sometimes I wonder don't we have sports management to inform the Government.
@ShiftingNews7 күн бұрын
Thanks for your continued support and sharing your thoughts, Suleiman! 🙌 You’re right-adding a canopy could really modernize the stadium. It’s a great suggestion, and hopefully, as the renovations progress, we’ll see even more upgrades like that. Hope the changes will be effected as we prepare for AFCON 2027. Sports management plays a huge role in these decisions, and it’s always a balance between budget and vision. Appreciate your input-stay tuned for more updates and videos on other infrastructure projects! 🏟️✨ #ShiftingNews

Thanks for the support and for watching, Muthoni! 😊 Kirinyaga County is definitely on our radar-there’s so much to explore there, from its beautiful landscapes to its growing infrastructure. We’ll definitely consider doing a feature on County 020. Thanks for the suggestion and for being part of the Shifting News community. 🌟 #ShiftingNews

Thanks for the continued support. We were shown the materials used to do the recarpeting the track in one of the storage rooms. Not sure how often they change this, but the technique they use to achieve this is so unique. Hope one day we get a chance to witness the whole process of changing the running track.

good video but your take that this is an international grade stadium is shocking, in Europe this would be a village stadium, you need to visit bottom tier EPL clubs stadiums to see how good they are before talking about Wembley
@ShiftingNews5 күн бұрын
Am looking forward to visiting Europe. One day, it will be a dream come true. Appreciate your thoughts, Joe! You’ve got a fair point-stadium standards in Europe are definitely on another level, especially in the EPL. Nyayo may not match up to those, but in the regional context, it’s still a key venue. Hopefully, continued investment will push our stadiums to a more competitive level globally. Thanks for watching and sharing your perspective!

wha a big shame,,,no canopy...
@ShiftingNews6 күн бұрын
The lack of a canopy is definitely something many fans are pointing out! A little extra cover would go a long way in making the stadium more comfortable for spectators. Let’s hope future upgrades (especially for AFCON 2027) address that! Appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts. Thanks for the support.

Is Nyayo a 15000 capacity... surely?
@ShiftingNews6 күн бұрын
Good question, Chris! Nyayo was originally built in 1983 with a 15,000 capacity, but after renovations over the years, it now holds about 30,000 spectators as of 2024. Hopefully, these upgrades will help improve the experience for fans and players alike. Thanks for tuning in!

I dont think Nyayo stadium is good enough. Maybe kasarani
@ShiftingNews5 күн бұрын
That’s a valid take, Alvines! Kasarani does have better facilities overall, and many would agree it’s currently Kenya’s top stadium. Talanta Stadium will match the capacity of Kasarani and hope it will be more improved once completed. Let’s see how the renovations shape up for Nyayo-it still has a role to play. Thanks for tuning in and being part of the discussion!

Sir i admire the positivity but let's be honest this stadium is bang out of order no matter how we spin it. Poor workmanship and the worst thing is that no man power in sight. It's a shame and heads should surely roll if we miss out on hosting. We need to be serious as a country. I can't believe what I am watching. Just embarrassing. This is meant to be a money-churning project for the country. Uganda is unleashing serious stadiums.Surely!
@ShiftingNews4 күн бұрын
Appreciate your honest take, and I get where you're coming from. The expectations for AFCON 2027 are high, and Kenya really needs to step up to deliver world-class facilities. Some have suggested that the canopy will be set in place after CHAN. Concerns about workmanship and progress are valid, and it’s frustrating when things don’t move as fast as they should. Though this video was recorded on a weekend believing that most of the workers were off-duty (maybe to give room for other sporting activities for the weekend). Hopefully, the momentum picks up soon to ensure we don’t miss out on this massive opportunity. Let’s keep the conversation going and hold the right people accountable! Thanks for watching and engaging with Shifting News-your perspective adds real value!

which workmanship are talking about. this stadium was constructed in 199s and that was good at that time

Appreciate your feedback, Francis! There’s definitely room for improvement in our stadium renovations, and it’s great to see people like you who care about quality. Hopefully, with more investment and accountability, we’ll see better outcomes in future projects. Thanks for watching and being part of the conversation!
