Not bad places at all. Was expecting nothing like the size of those apartments, you'd think that NYC would be limited for space. Like London or Paris, where you pay a fortune for literally a shoe box. Does the advertised rent include electric and water bills etc?

That view is amazing.

Holy crap look at the lower end prices on apartments vs rent. Just mortgage a 2/1 for 300k or less and pay it off in a little over 10 years with tenants. Its like a $1500 mortgage plus HOA's. That's probably less than 75% what you'd pay monthly in rent and leaves you extra money to use for repairs or just save, plus sets up your future. After seeing this video and realizing how ridiculous rent versus underlying prices are in New York I'm considering this for my next real estate investment.

Now that was very informative. I think at less than $500 per week for your share it is good value. Are you required to pay a refundable bond Taylor? Will be very interested to see the process re the flexi wall. And I can't believe you & your roommate placed no emphasis on the dishwasher!!!!!!!!!!!! 'They' could take everything else in the house but touch the dishwasher and it all gets very ugly very quickly hahaha! Enjoyed.

New subbie here can you tell us how the process of negotiation went? I am in love with this space and would love to know how to negotiate rent. what did you put in to find the apartments like this?
@TaylorBell3 жыл бұрын
Helloo welcome! Yes, will def speak about this more in depth in a future video. But basically we just submitted an offer expecting to get a counter offer, and then we accepted their counter offer. As for finding the luxury high rise, I already knew of some in midtown west so I searched for similar buildings in the area 😊

Sorry Taylor. Had to pass on the drinking game. Thankfully though otherwise I may have had some issues getting started today. Congrats on the apartment by the way. Honestly I'm not trying to jinx you but you are making it look a bit too easy. Needless to say I have heard tons of horror stories over the years! Best of luck!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😁😁😁

Do you have any issues with neighbors, eg. dogs barking, people partying 24/7-boom boom music shaking the walls & floors?

I heard that there's a problem with policing in NYC at the moment due to the pandemic? And that's the reason why rent is so low
@TaylorBell3 жыл бұрын
Yeah crime in NYC increased through the pandemic unfortunately. Rent decrease is more so due to lower demand I'd say (many ppl moved out of the city during covid)

HAHA why don’t you like it?! (I don’t even know yet). I lived in west village for a summer and it’s such a convenient location, but sooo pricey for a tiny studio without a view. That was how I saw it anyway lol
@sahajpatel90033 жыл бұрын
@@TaylorBell Tourists mainly, and having to do gymnastics to find a grocery store. Im in the UWS mainly for grad school at Fordham but its much quieter. Pricing isnt too bad rn either
@TaylorBell3 жыл бұрын
Ahh gotcha. Luckily I have an amazing market at the base of my building, otherwise that would suck. And niiice UWS is great
