It's crazy to me that everything is so tiny and expensive in NYC. Those bedrooms are like closets. The kitchen has no counter space. Cool backyard though.

Mike G to make a unit more affordable you lower the price. To get more money out of a space you put up a wall and call it a 2 bedroom, squeeze a non kitchen in a corner, and call the hallway a living room. This could have been a lovely space for a couple for maybe $600-$800 less. This is just a money grab. Please!
@ME-gp7wc

Hell, for the same price It would have been a great place for a couple had they just maximized the 1 bedroom instead of wasting money on this mess.

Plus, how secure are those windowed doors to the patio in case someone from one of the many windows looking down can watch everything that you do on your patio? I would with extra $ put up lattice work that could grow ivy up and over partially covering the patio for privacy. That or get one of those covered awnings that you can pit a table and chairs under so no one above can see you -

yes and no. they converted one space into a two bedroom. in my honest opinion it would be more worth the money if they kept it as either one large space or a one bedroom with a larger kitchen instead of chopping it up like that. those are not bedrooms. and im from nyc btw. my 3 bedroom is an ACTUAL 3 bedroom and not with rooms that only crib can fit in. so while of course i understand what you mean by "it's manhattan" it's still ridiculous how theyre utilizing the spaces. just my opinion

You don't know Manhattan then, There are better apartments in NYC for cheap example Washington heights is known for huge bedrooms and cheap prices. A lot of lottery lux apartments go for cheaper and the spaces are so much more bigger! I just saw a 4 bedroom and 2 bath for 669.00 a month . So Nicky G. You don't need to be in Birmingham or st Louis for a big and cheap apartment you just need to look.

Ikr...our house here in the burbs isn’t huge...a mere 1800 sq feet (smallish by suburban standards) but even the smallest kids room is bigger than those rooms and the closet in said kids’ room is like 3-4x bigger than those “large closets” 😂 If we tried to rent our house it’d be like 1300/ a month max...a mortgage on it would probably cost even less....the fact that people would pay 4300 to RENT something with a kitchen the size of our pantry is sad to me.

In the late 80’s, newly married, We rented the ground floor and the enchanted garden of a town house, surrounded by gardens, left, right and opposite , in Chelsea, 20th Street, between 8th snd 9th avenues , before Chelsea got trendy . Ok this is not a townhouse this is a small apartment with a backyard. I do like the backyard I would hate the tree I couldn't stop thinking about squirrels and pigeons. I've lived in new York all my life so I speak from that perspective 4300$ a month with no amenities in none of these places. isn't a good deal The small kitchen spaces the washer and dryer cramped in a bathroom which I've never seen before until now. is absurd when you're spending that type of money. I pay 3k a month but my washer and dryer is in my kitchen I have two sinks in my kitchen . My bedrooms are big but from 4k to 6k your apartment should not feel so contained it should speak luxury but location is everything especially if you go on the west side of Manhattan

Pre-war means lots of space which this apartment doesn't have. Would love to know what this was and what the configuration was before they chopped it up. Edit: Definitely feel the bathroom/laundry area should have encompassed the kitchen area as well. The kitchen should be against the wall to the right as you come in. Moving that front door over 10 or so inches (into the now former bathroom space) would give ample depth for the new kitchen location, I believe.

Calling that place a townhouse cracks me up anywhere else in the country it would have to be multi leveled for that title the bathroom is cute and outdoor space ok but that same price elsewhere would get you at least 2000 or more square feet of living it all comes down to location

I've been thinking the whole time how you would set up the bed in the bedroom so it doesn't block the door to the patio, or the closet. You would have to walk around the bed if it's set up across the room
@CashJordan
@CashJordan 4 жыл бұрын
Great point. The Bedrooms here are good, but you’d be limited to putting a bed in the long way and walking around. It’s definitely doable but your right that its no longer a straight pass thru the room (although the doors are slightly off center to help with this).

Hi Jarret - My agent’s are all tenant’s agent (renters side only). My business also manages property, but in transactions on the management side we are lender’s side only. Dara Pinkston why couldn’t you enjoy the entertainment from one of NYs suburbs though? I spent a summer in NY once and visited philly while I was there....it’s literally only a two hour drive....like it’s beyond me why people who love the city that much don’t just get a place in a much more affordable NY or NJ suburb and then work/visit there whenever they please instead of paying through the teeth just to look at fancy buildings out of your window. Like it seems fine if you’re like a multimillionaire....but beats me why poor and middle class people still stay there. Like don’t you guys ever want to actual own a home?

This apt to me is the best one I've seen so far on your videos. I'd make 1 of the bedrooms into a cozy reading setting room. That way company wouldn't go through bedroom to get outside. Love the out door space would fill it with plants love the bathroom tub washer dryer love the exposed brick in living room. And it looks more like a home not a apt. Totally awesome.
