I'm here for any cozy content whatsoever! Just watching you in your space and cultivating your surroundings is comforting to me, as weird as that may sound 😅💕 I recently thrifted a copy of The Watchmaker of Filigree Street which may interest you if you haven't read it before; it's a historical novel set in Victorian London with flashbacks to Japan where one of the main characters is originally from. There's elements of steampunk mixed with whimsy and the lightest sprinkling of fantastical realism as the leads try to figure out the link between a priceless pocket watch with precision accuracy and a deadly bomb attack in the city. (And surprise slow burn romance!)

A (YA Fiction) mystery series that I would recommend is Murder Most Unladylike. It follows two boarding school students with their own detective "agency" who solve petty mysteries until a real mystery pops up. They travel a lot throughout the series and have just a lot of fun. So that's one I would recommend you have a look at !! I loved it so much and I could not put it down!!

I adore Otto Penzler and his Mysterious Bookshop ❤ So glad you went there and are letting people know about them. They really know that genre and are so helpful. I get that they may not cover cozy mysteries as much. I love hard boiled mysteries and that they cover perfectly.

Monica I literally just discovered your channel today. And I’m so glad I did. The first video I saw was the one where you went back to New York and is having home sickness. I can totally relate I moved from the Philippines to Germany about a year ago and the homesickness is soooo REAL!!! But it eventually gets better in time. Current time here in Germany is 3:18am having a panic attack but your aesthetic videos and calming voice really helps me. I’m a big reader as well and so are my sister and father in law. Thanks for the book recommendations . ❤❤❤❤

The Myrtle Hardcastle series is a Middle Grade murder mystery series that I find cozy because they're intended for a younger audience. Even though I can usually figure out who done it, they have such fun feel to them that I still thoroughly enjoy them. (Also thanks for the recommendation, I had never heard of the Shady Hollow series but it sounds great)

I recommend In the Company of Witches by Auralee Wallace! It's a story about a family of witches, who runs a Bed & Breakfast. One of their guests dies in the B&B, and the town suspects the witches are behind it, so they have to solve the mystery to find out who really did it and help clear their name. There's also a sequel called When the Crow's Away that I have not read yet, but I do know it takes place in the same town with the same main characters, but a different mystery needs to be solved.

I just adore anytime Monica says "I'm very excited" bc she says it in the cutest way and makes me SO happy Edited to say: LOVE the cozy mystery genre! I read Mitford Murders and just was not a fan - I had high hopes based on the setting and historical fiction genre, but ultimately found it a bit boring and donated it in my last move. Adding to my very long tbr with other books in this video though!!

I absolutely loved the Shady Hollow trilogy and I believe there is a novella available for the Kindle. Another of my favorite mysteries is Elizabeth is Missing by Emma Healey. It's about an old woman with dementia who believes her friend has gone missing and tries to find her when no one will help.

They are who done it murder mysteries but cozy because the protagonist and her family have cozy Filipino businesses. Shady Hollow reminds me of the Redwall series by Brian Jacques which is not murder mystery but very cosy vibes so you might like them. I’m going to look out for shady hollow too! Also I have a a cosy mystery recommendation... for a video game: Jenny LeClue Detectivû. It’s a point and click adventure game set in Autumn and the colours POP! Everything is so polished and the story is very layered. Voice acting is great too. I got it stupid cheap too, £1.99 on Switch (that deal has ended though and I’m in UK) idk why it isn’t talked about in the cosy gaming community and it’s very well reviewed on steam. Thanks for the vid and I love the pjs! Going to check out shipping details to UK.
