When will I take care of law abiding tax paying citizens in NYC - u are supposed to be working for us.

The hotels and shelters gotta make room for the migrants - the city (tax payers) pay higher for the rooms for the migrants compared to the homeless.

Another two mega-shelters opening on Upper West Side as NYC migrant tally tops 74,000 arrivals The city has quietly opened two new emergency shelters for migrants on the Upper West Side - totaling nearly 250 rooms within a three-block stretch. The new emergency shelters - among 98 in the city have opened in response to the migrant crisis - will be in the New York Institute of Technology’s Riverside Terrace Residence Hall on West 88th Street, which has a capacity of 125 rooms, and the 119-room Belnord Hotel on West 87th Street, according to emails obtained by The Post. The pair are in addition to a controversial new 108-bed “safe haven” shelter on West 83rd Street, across the street from an elementary school, and operated by the nonprofit Breaking Ground. That facility will welcome vagrants without conducting criminal background checks on them.

Recently, Mayor Eric Adams petitioned a judge to suspend New York City’s right-to-shelter policy for asylum seekers. The Mayor told CBS, “We will get clarity from the court and we’re going to make sure that we continue to do everything we have to do to take care of New Yorkers who are here and those who are arriving.”

I openly discriminate against people that try to rent an apartment using a welfare housing voucher. The voucher only covers about 20% of the monthly rent payment, and then the tenant will refuse to come up with their portion of the money. Then you have them living there for about a year with over twenty to thirty thousand dollars owed in rent because you can't get them out due to the lease agreement. On top of that, most of these people are just downright dysfunctional human beings that come off as normal people in the begining during the interview process, but then act like complete animals once they move in. They always rip out the smoke detector and complain about bugs crawling through the hole they made in the ceiling, they play loud music, they sublet the apartment illegally and charge other people rent to live with them. It's absolutely ridiculous, I didn't work hard to own property just to take care of another grown adult.

I don't know where you got your info from, but not everyone that use or have used these vouchers are 'animalistic' as only the one word that describes how u feel about a person who uses a voucher! Anywhere one pays rent, if that portion owed isn't paid, you're thrown out! If you tear up an apartment as you describe, you're thrown out! Hope nothing ever happens to YOU!!!
