The American Communist Party and leftist activity in NYC are fascinating slices of US history. All I remember of supreme court cases on communist party are Dennis and Brandenburg. Real artisans, when they retire, need to review and keep in touch with others of like mind and life path. Also to reach out to craftmens internationally. I would think the current communist countries: China, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos jealously guard their skilled craftsmen. Russia also monopolized knowledge of their workers for many years. I hope New York continues to be a safe haven for workers of all backgrounds.
