Yes, that high curb is dangerous at 1:30:28. I biked on that elevated sidewalk going to and from Roosevelt Island because I did not see any bike lanes on the road. On the way back, an old man on the sidewalk yelled at me that I should be on the street but I simply just passed him and said a mumbling "all right" then he hollered at me with "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!" to which I bolted off whilst my bike in a frenzy sprint like I'm running away from a dinosaur lol!

At 10:30 AK mentions an elevator from the 59th street bridge down to Roosevelt Island . On an episode of the early 1960s TV program NAKED CITY with guest star Sandy Dennis they showed that elevator as the police car made a turn on to the side of the bridge and the elevator lowered the police car down to the island . In another scene Ms. Dennis goes up a stone stairway from the island to the bridge level and walks to Manhattan .

I caught up on what I missed! Roosevelt Tram and bridge is amazing! I can't wait to visit NYC again the explore the area, I didn't know about the Tram when I visited back in 2019. Love it! Cheers! 🥂

I can also recommend you taking the ferry from Wall St to Astoria (can get off at Roosevelt island or 91 st too). Best amazing skyline views from the river for just under 4 usd. No need for expensive boat tours.

Hi! I’ve always wanted to see Roosevelt island, thank you for showing this a real treat! It seems quiet there. Hopefully I’ll get there one day. Watching from Colorado Springs 😊

It was a treat to see the Roosevelt Island Tram at the beginning. 🤩 I really enjoyed the tranquility on Roosevelt Island, and the views of the skylines are spectacular across the East River. 😍 1:19:12 It was both fascinating and sad to see the abandoned trams cars and escalators. 1:46:41 The Kosciuszko Bridge pronunciation is mind blowing. 🤯🤣 1:49:04 Different "I'm walkin' here" imitations! 😂 Thank you for this relaxing and fun stream, AK! 🤗

@@rugpull2900 You repeatedly asked the same question about something he didn't want to answer, and then you asked about his personal incident. You got a warning but continued to question some more. He listed the chat rules in his description for a reason. Yes, you saw cops in the livestream, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's crime related.

Unfortunately the Hudson is a fish wasteland and you’re not catching anything. You literally have to be much closer to the queens borough bridge in the middle of the river to catch something worth while. Fishing charters have to do that or head into the Hudson valley or head into the bay. The Hudson River is so badly polluted and with the subway cars down there it’s a giant mess of a river.

I like your New York walks the best, you are pretty brave to walk at night ,heard New York crime is up 40% ,have to be on guard all the time...still don't get why people walking are still wearing masks, that's just insane.
@vktor57302 жыл бұрын
Up 40% compared to what? Last year?2019?2015?The 1970s and 80s when crime was really high? The reference year matters because crime in NYC within the past couple of years is NOTHING compared to 20-30 years ago. Hell, even with the increases, NYC still has lower crime rates than many other cities/towns in the country which have way less people, and that’s key. New York is a huge city, crime hotspots in a couple of areas isn’t going to effect the entire city. Not ignoring the crimes of course, but the media makes it seem like every time someone in NYC steps out of their home, they’re going to get stabbed, assaulted, and/or killed when in reality, most people(myself included) get around unscathed and unharmed as long as you watch your surroundings. I do agree with you on the people wearing masks tho, but hey it’s their choice, as long as they don’t force others into wearing masks I’m good.

@@vktor5730 compared to 2021, since you live in NY, you should have known this, guess you're too focus on 20 or 30 years ago.
