Those Brooklyn Bridge shots kick ass man, it's also kinda rad seeing Coney Island in b&w since I always see it in that popping pastel bright sunwashed color look lol. I forgot to mention it to you (though you may have stumbled upon it yourself!!) Sammy's photo lab. It's a legit 1-hour photo spot. I used to bring my film there before I started doing it myself. The move used to be drop off rolls, get beers next door, then pick up the film. Big classic.

I'm not much of a traveller. But New York has always had a huge appeal to me Dave. I'm not sure if its the whole "photography history" and "photography prestige" or if its a looser connection with movies I watched as a kid, often of NYC at Christmas. It just looks like a cool place to be. Maybe I am romanticising it. Alas, being here in the UK, I doubt it will ever be a reality. But perhaps one day. If I ever do go there, it will be Tri-X all the way for me :-)

This was my third trip to New York (if you count chaperoning my son’s high school band in 2019). No romanticizing necessary, it absolutely is a cool place to be. It’s a 9 hour drive each way for me, and definitely worth the trip.

All the still images are from the Minolta which can be pretty soft in certain atmospheric conditions.
