Times Square is not too bad now. I usually avoid Times Square because of the crowds. If I lived in the city, I would walk Times Square now when it's not so crowded. It's really strange seeing Broadway closed like that. Side note: I did see The Lion King and it was really good!! Wow, the Port Authority from the outside isn't too busy. I take the bus to there when I go into the city and it's always busy. Crazy. Another awesome video. 😎

I say if you want to travel to NY now go ahead things are opening now and the fun is coming back idc if theres no indoor seating sitting outside is actually better you get an outside view. Things are opening just close earlier so I say go ahead. The big screen was advertising business and safety pro-cation. All is going through tough times. Not certain places are better than NY all is going through a tough time rn. I believe NY is coming back and is worth visiting rn if you want. But do suggest going next year.

I'm conflicted about it. Too bad about the theatres definitely, and the employment, but much of what attracted the hordes to Times Square was vulgar and pointless...just people thronging in because they have heard that's what people do. Objectively there's nothing to see there. Hopefully it will come back because someone puts in something worth seeing and/or doing.

Years ago when I worked in the area (the Garment District), Times square was smut central, prostitution, pimps, live sex acts on stage, drug dealers, you name it it was there and truly dangerous and disgusting. When the Pope came to visit the city they had to re-route his motorcade to fortieth street (where my job was) and we were able to see the guy in his pope-mobile waving (it rained that day). Anyhow, my feeling at the time was, how truly embarrassing for us to be so filthy that even the Pope had to be shielded from it. Now, Times Square looks like Disneyland. The Pope Can definitely be routed through 42nd street, except now, instead of smut we have a nasty pandemic. Go figure....
