I celebrate you, Shane, because you are a leader. I am grateful. It is people like you who, with grace and dignity, make all of society aware of fairness and justice for all of humanity. This is a video full of hope and joy, thank you! It's important, Shane, that you know, and REALLY know, how much you are loved..............Ray

I remember vividly seeing the Stonewall reports on the news. I was 18 and this was the first time it really hit home that I was NOT ALONE! Growing up in a small town in PA I never thought I'd live to see the day when I would be able to be happily married to the love of my life! After 33 years together, my husband and I were married last Sept! So, I'm VERY grateful for ALL those who made it possible. Thank you Shane, now we can work on bringing equality to the rest of the world! It IS POSSIBLE! :D

I don't know where to begin. Last night I saw the documentary and I say this with 100% truth. Nothing in my life has had such an impact on me. I never cry to movies or whatever but I was on the floor almost screaming cause of my anger and sadness. I can't even imagine what you went and are going through and it was a long time ago since I felt that bad. I don't have words for how strong you are. You have become my inspiration. You are such a wonderful person and you deserved so much better. I'm lucky that I live in a country where its fully accepted to be gay and that made it a lot easier for me to come out. I don't know if you will read this or not but if you do I just want to say. You are the strongest human being in the existence. Mental pain is a thousand times worse than physical and I have felt a glimt from what you felt or feel. My mother passed away when I was young but I honestly don't think its even comparable. It would be an honor for me to meet you some day. You have all my love, support and respect. You are one amazing being. Thank you for sharing this. Much Love

Hi Shane. How are you? I saw your documentary, and I have to tell you that it was so moving and at the same time, inspirational. I felt so identified with some parts of your life. I really wouldn't know how to react to such situation, but God always gives us the answer. A big hug from Colombia.

I am a 72 year old who also attended the Pride March in NYC. I stood in front of the Empire State Building for the entire march, six and a half hours. It was fun, my second year to be there for the march, but I have visited the city many times and always enjoy the city especially Central Park. Shane, I have the DVD of "Bridegroom" and also donated one to my local public library. Thank you for having what it took to make that documentary.

Hi Shane. I am enamored by your story of love and bittersweet realization of life events. Your life has transformed into a powerful voice of equality for our people. You have been fortunate to have been graced by true love but have felt the world suddenly disappear around you. I will never know the true pain and anquish you have experienced (and most likely still reeling from) but I am truly awed by your resolve and your compassion. You shared your love and pain with the world and intertwined the joys and horrors into a positive light. I know the love between you and Tom is eternal. It is the one true element that can never be erased. I wish you love and peace. Me Ke Aloha, Luis

Loved it. Well done. Only one criticism. How could you show the highlights of the NY Pride and not have a clip of Desmond Napole? The colorful vogueing 8 year old WAS the parade incarnate. He owned it and after all, and isn't that what gaining the rights is "really" all about? The rights of the kids of tomorrow? Just sayin' Love it. It was awesome.
