It’s about time. I have been saying for years that they are focusing their attention on subways when I am sure most fare evasion happens on buses, especially in the Bronx. People complaining about this crackdown are those who don’t pay and want to continue not paying. No one who pays wants to know they are supporting the people who aren’t. They are the ones who will complain when services are cut and complain about the wait times or service. They need to raise prices? The people who are honest and pay are the ones who are going to suffer and continue subsidizing your criminal behavior. Spare me your calls about how this enforcement is a waste of money. It’s not. Some of us prefer to live in a society where we all pay our way and don’t feel entitled to free everything. Know what helps fund those service complaints? The fare you aren’t paying.

Good I am glad they are doing this. Getting on the buses and trains are not free. If people can by clothes and food they sure can pay the fair. Like they say if you don’t have the money to get on the bus and trains stay your behind home, it’s best to stay home if you don’t have it, I rather stay home then to get written up by the MTA cops. My sis gave me money the other day for me to put money on my metro card, because she told me it’s not worth it to get stopped by the cops, and I agree with her, and ya’ll don’t wanna mess with the Bee 60 bus, because they want you to pay, they not going to open the back door to let people hop on the back of the bus, because it’s not worth it, and they should do it for all the buses, like the bus drivers should only open the front doors. And the BXM11 and other BXM busses are very strict too, they will make you get off the bus, they did that to me, so I had it to put money on my metro card too. It’s just not worth to do silly stuff.
