Alexis! Your video on transforming your life in a year? Wow, just wow. Couldn't stop watching once I started, and now I'm completely engrossed in this vlog! I just HAD TO come into the comments to let you know how seriously inspired and encouraged I am. Your determination and authenticity shine bright, inspiring everyone who clicks play. It's not easy to stay true to yourself in this industry, but you're nailing it. Keep blazing your trail, girl. You're not just leading your own journey; you're lighting the way for others too. Your resilience is remarkable, and I'm certain you'll keep achieving amazing things. Wishing you all the success and happiness on your journey ahead! 🤍

Love the string toy you bought for Bennet. He seems to be enjoying it. When I used to crochet I was too tight also. Hard habit to break, but if you can, wonderful.

Hello from a crocheter (and knitter)! I wanted to comment on your arm hurting, because I've been there before, but have learned how to craft without it hurting. 1) Have you tried the pencil hold for crochet? I watched how you were crocheting and thought it might hurt your elbow less than the knife hold you are doing, because there's less movement in the elbow when you're using a pencil hold. 2) You may want to look into getting a crochet hook that's more ergonomic with a thicker handle, because when your forearms hurt, while yes it can be from not normally using those muscles, it might also mean you are squeezing your hook too tightly, and a more ergonomic hook might help you loosen up a bit. Also, when you squeeze the hook tightly, than can also translate to tighter stitches, which is what you're noticing on your blanket. I think you're doing wonderfully for a first big project! I love crocheting blankets.

Hey Alexis! I think your hurting when you crochet and your shriveled blanket are related. You seem to be using too much tension when you crochet. For your health, try to focus on using less tension in your body. And for your piece, google blocking. I think that should help relax the blanket and make it look less shriveled. It’s looking great so far!!

Top for crochet: use a pillow to rest your arms on while you try to focus on relaxing your stitching. It helps.

For some reason, they won't do a St. Patrick's Day parade on Sunday. Whenever it falls on a Sunday, they always do the parade the Saturday before. That's the only reason the half marathon was able to happen last weekend; pretty sure the parade would get preference otherwise. Sorry you missed it! At least this won't be an issue again for another 5 or 6 years haha

Yeah that was kinda strange.. and I guess logically correct.. that NYC moved St. Patrick's Day Parade to Saturday instead of Sunday since the Half Marathon was Sunday. I hope the parade resumes back to Sunday next year.. kinda of a hot mess.. 😅

I haven’t been able to comment on your videos for a while.. but i love the toy you got for Bennett! Definitely think you need to do more stretching and maybe some upper body strength building for your crocheting! Go for it! From one Upper West Sider to another, you need to check out Vin sur Vigne’s 84th st location. Super chill and the aesthetic is so chill.. I think you might like it. Very French, tho.. and I know you are Italian…
