I love what you said about positive self-talk. I found myself saying, "Oh, I'm stupid." So instead, I say, "I'm smarter than this." For me, it's like acknowledging I made a mistake, didn't know something etc. However, I'm still reminding myself that I'm smart at the same time!!! The thing I'm most excited for this Christmas is Midnight mass. It's like all the Christmas cards are sent; I had fun at parties, and any packages, sent to long distance friends and family, are hopefully there. Then I can just not worry anymore and enjoy the evening with my family.

Another Lucia here. My dad heard the name in Italy when he visited Rome, as a student in England in the 80s. He knew if he had a daughter he would name her Lucia. But I grew up in Alabama next to you, and everyone pronounced it Loo-SEE-uh, so now I’m Loo-SEE-uh. But it was always supposed to be Loo-CHEE-uh.

That was great! What I’m most looking forward to this holiday season is having my daughter home from college, as a teacher having 2 weeks off to spend with family & friends & to reset for the rest of the school year! Spending the holidays with my children, their spouses & my beautiful 2 grandsons! One thing I do look forward to every year is receiving Christmas Cards! (I do send out a lot also)! As someone who has lived with someone for 3 years and did not end up with them, I would never suggest moving in with someone unless you are engaged. I felt like I gave my ex the wife experience on a girlfriend salary, and I sincerely regret it. We live and we learn. However, with that said I met my now husband and he said he was going to marry me after 3 dates. We got in engaged after a month of dating just after he did move in with me, and we have been married for a year and half. Moral of the story, I feel like the person matters more.
