I take a walk in NYC in the neighborhood of Downtown Flushing, Queens along Main Street, 37th Avenue, Prince Street, and Roosevelt Avenue. This area is home to the largest Chinatown in NYC, featuring many restaurants, food markets, cultural stores, and a transportation hub. Much has changed around Flushing, including a fire closing off a mall, the moving of Tiger Sugar to New World Mall Food Court, and new restaurants.

You ended the video on the street where I used to live when I arrived to the US for the first time 32 years ago. I miss Flushing. Thanks for going back to Flushing. Flushing was originally lived by Italians, then moved out. Duane Reade in Roosevelt Ave. It used to be the Woolworth department store. And the Asian Mall used to be Alexander's store department. Main Street was occupied by non-asian family business. Only a very small Asian community was present at that time. Mostly Taiwanese, and Koreans. The farmers market and laundromats were opened by all Koreans and only one Chinese supermarket next to the Post office on Main Street.

Thanks for coming back to Flushing. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I am in tears (I never, ever get so emotional cause you HELPED ME MANIFEST MY TRIP TO NYC. And here I am spending some time in Manhattan, visiting friends, NOT BELIEVING MYSELF, IN AWE, WORSHIPPING EVERY PERSON, PLACE AND THING I see. All I did was falling asleep to the images in your vids and emote unintentionally. I did not even thought about airline tickets or money, or anything of the sort, and voilá. Thanks AK, I love you!!!!!

Sad about the fire, but good to see Flushing bustling with people again! It was a great place to grow in and I still have a friend from the area that I keep in touch with even though we both have moved out of state!

Wonderful walking tour. China has changed so much in the past 20 years, that the country many of these people left, no longer exists. China has really become very modernized and in many ways now is more advanced than America. Shanghai for example is a very high tech and clean city in comparison. I wish many of these flushing residents would explore different areas of America, where it is less crowded, with more breathing room, more trees, and more parking. Real estate is expensive in Flushing and the suburbs offer a much higher quality of life for the same money.

3:59 It's sad to hear that shopping mall was burned down. 😢 There's no shortage of eateries in Flushing! 😋 Good to see Flushing's Chinatown was full of activities, but it was also interesting to see many sidewalk street vendors. Thank you for sharing this walk, AK! 🤗

Can I ask a question that bothers me quite a bit. Can you say that NYC is safe to venture out to sample this great NYC food I used to transit through NYC quite often when I worked in NJ on my way to Providence, RI from Madison Square Garden. But now I wouldn't stop in NYC for all the tea in China so to speak

Even though crime has gone up a bit in the past 2 years, it’s still very safe compared to most cities, people just like to overreport, you just need to be a bit aware of your surroundings and you’ll be fine
