It is a lovely piece, beautifully played. I had the good luck to hear Suk's very powerful "Asrael" Symphony played in Cleveland a few years ago, and got a recording shortly after. I should listen again soon.

You are absolutely right! The sound is perfectly fine. My stated impression earlier is NOT adequate, I can't explain why I got that skewed opinion (early in the morning? gear mismatch? haste affecting taste?) since the sound is excellent now just straight from my computer (ZBook G5, Beyerdynamic DT-880 Edition headphones). Thanks for your opinions that helped me reconsider and correct.
