What a surprise for the new owners. Although I was expecting the explosion, I nearly jumped at the amount. Paper towels, heavy toilet paper & wipes will clog up drains every time. Who was gagging when looking at the shower? I guess you could not call those floaters since they were just lying about. Nasty. Several years ago, I'd say 25 years ago, I was at my parents. After I had done my business & flushed the toilet, there was a flood in the bathtub. What made it worse, they had company. The pipes in the yard had rusted out, they were cast iron, which caused the problem. The house was built in 1964. Nice clean up & thanks for your video. Always enjoy no matter the gross out.

If my house sewer were set up like this with the trap in a pit I would concrete the bottom of it and slope it towards the trap so i could rinse it down after a service.

These house trap are in a pit which usually is a cut out piece in the foundation so the bottom of the pit is usually the earth where the water can drain, also if you have some rodents trying to funnel their way into your home which leads into the pit acts like a yard drain!

Mr. NYdrain why not unclog the house trap with the snake...... the clog is at the trap, your way (of course for the video shot) floods the pit with shit for no reason but to show your "explosion" to the viewers. Now the home owner has a shit smelly pit and basement. Snake the line going to the street than you unclog the trap in this job. Most of your jobs you do the same.
