It's not what his stats say, it's what they don't say. Daniel Jones turned a 350+ yard- 3+ TD game into a 280 yard 1 INT game. There were at least 4 plays where guys were wide open and would've had monstrous yards and TDs if Jones didn't botch it. The worst part is this is Jones at his best, this is his ceiling. If "not screwing up" is the best he can do then he is the definition of a back up QB and certainly not a franchise QB.

Daniel Jones has thrown interceptions in every game this year. Granted some of them were called back because of penalties. But none the less he threw them in every game this year. Daniel Jones continues to struggle going into year 6 as a starting QB. He continues to struggle with not processing fast enough, hesitating on throws, not being able to throw an accurate deep ball despite having an 0-Line that gives him plenty of time to do so, not being cable of elevating this team, and again, consistently throwing interceptions whether they are called back or not because of penalties. Defenses know what Daniel Jones is going to do before he does it. They have a jump on him because he stares his first read down. It's time to bench Daniel Jones and ride out the rest of the year with Tommy Devito, who in my opinion based on his play is a better QB than Daniel Jones and Drew Lock. That's not to say that Tommy is the longterm solution moving forward, but he seems to be the best option on this team for now. Daniel Jones is holding back Daboll's play calling and holding back the progress of this potentially otherwise explosive offense.

This game wasn’t 8’s fault. He made the throws he was supposed to in the right moments, they were unfortunately dropped. Darius Slayton couldn’t catch a cold if he wanted to! DJ matched Dak Prescott, damn near, drive for drive. He’s got the O-Line and receivers we’ve been saying he needs and he’s actually producing. We should keep DJ, seeing as though his contract isn’t guaranteed. We keep him and hopefully pick up arch manning in a year or so… I’m over blaming him, he isn’t as bad as we thought he was. He’s a serviceable QB.

EVERY deep ball he threw down field vs Dallas was under-thrown. He cannot get the ball in front of his WR’s to run under it for a completion. I counted 6 deep ball attempts vs Dallas that were under-thrown. What good is finally having some WR’s that have speed and can get deep if he cannot get the ball to them? The proof is DJ has the worse average yard per throw in the league. Also, more than half the time his typical “3 yard pass” is even behind the receiver. He cannot use the excuse of lack of protection since the O-line has gotten better. I believe this is why Daboll has tuned so conservative because he realizes that he has a QB that cannot make plays.DJ needs to be benched. We are not going anywhere this season with him so might as well put in Lock or Divito who can at least get the ball further than 3 to 5 yards on a pass.

DJ without a doubt. In 2023 Giants O-Line was next to dead last in everything. He got plastered. Hammered. Game one vs Minnesota was suss, everything since was not just DJ. There are 13 games left and each week we have improved. New O-Line, corners need to gel. Defensive front needs to put more pressure on QB and stop the run. Each week gets better. 13 games left .... stop crying.
