This is great. It would be helpful and cool if you had little tags by each that showed the mm size as well. I wanted to take notes so that I have the info on hand when I go shopping and having it displayed there would be great.

Awesome video ma'am.....but I have a question about what does the letter in front of the thread or cord mean? example Ko size "D" or size "B"....and what are the differences between these different sizes? Because I am just starting to teach myself Jewelry, I am really so confused with these letters that are given along the size rather than numbers that I don't know where to start and what to do with them and how to use them.....since at present i live in India, I use the thread my mum has got from Mumbai and it is so difficult to find the threads needed for these and I use the seedbeads that we normally use to decorate the clothes to make my Jewelry work and since these beads are inconsistent in hole size I don't know what their size is......so I really thought of first was to start with the thread and the size letter meaning and the difference between them....

What's the size of the green cord???? Is it 0.2 or 0.3mm?????

Is there some kind of conversion chart for how much cord to use if you are using a different size than the tutorial? For example, you are using .5mm cord, but I want to use .9mm cord. I have noticed that it makes a difference in the lengths of cord you need. Thanks for your help, I enjoy your tutorials, they have helped me learn a lot.

Not that I know of. The amount of cord used can vary a lot depending on the density of the knots.

Hi thank you for this video. I want to know how many millimeters is an 8 'ott' ? Bead? Or an 11 'ott' bead?I'm just beginning and I've never heard that term. Thank you
@SherriStokey Жыл бұрын
8 aught is how 8/0 is pronounced. Seed beads are sold in sizes like 11/0, 8/0 etc. there’s a chart that can help with sizes here: rockinbeads.com/pages/learning-center/seed-bead-sizes-chart-in-inch-millimeters.html

Is this waxed? A lot of tutorials are saying to use waxed cord.
@SherriStokey2 жыл бұрын
No. This is nylon cord, not waxed cotton.

Hi sherri, can you tell me if the 0.5 cord will pass through my 6/0 Toho beads (1.7) hole twice. I know it sounds like it should but want your advice. Many thanks for your video, Jean in the uk
@SherriStokey8 жыл бұрын
Yes, the .5mm will easily pass through a 6/0 bead twice.

+choppie W No, Size D is a thread and is smaller than even the micro cord.

I am looking for cord that I can melt ends and doesn't dye my skin from wearing.
@SherriStokey5 жыл бұрын
The nylon cord doesn't transfer dye and you can melt the ends.

@@SherriStokey Thank you. Can I buy in the USA?
@SherriStokey5 жыл бұрын
@@brendabonanno3880 Yes, lots of places online. Bellomodo.com carries it (bellomodo.com/bead-category/stringing-materials/c-lon-cord/) or several shops on Etsy.
