By the way if you need professional assistance or advice The Ugly Bug Fly Shop is the place to go. I'm a novice fly fisherman and Jake at the Ugly Bug took the time to set up my rig fly line properly tied and leader with tippet thought me there necessary knots. Kudos to Jake and thank you Ugly Bug

I finally spent the money for better Fly rods, what a difference, save up and get a couple high end, you won't regret it. look at Ross reels Mid 300's, High end reels but not a stupid amount.

Lamson is very good and prices great. Wonderful drag system. 179.00 for a Lamson Remix. Fully machined reel, cast spool. Great reel. And I spent the money for a Cortland MK 2 professional 10 ft 7 wt for steelhead. Light and strong ass rod for what I need. I like the two lefty k. Series for 179.00 or the ECHO carbon Ion 199,00 not bad if you pair either with a Lamson all under 400.00 for smaller trout like this I wouldn’t go ANY higher then 350.00 rod and reel but steelhead drags a bit more important

Part of your problem is that you're casting with the wrong hand 🤣. Seriously, though, you slayed it. Nice vid.

One time I was fishing in Cherokee NC. I was fishing a run that had a lot of big fish in it but was catching nothing. I put on a bathing suit, mask and snorkel. I continued fishing with my face in the water and was shocked at what I saw. I was using a large stone fly nymph with a rubber band body. On almost every cast one or more fish would suck my fly into it's mouth and immediately eject it without ever moving my line. After that I simply drifted into the middle of all the fish and set the hook blind. It worked and I caught a bunch of large trout.
