Said it before but can't stress it enough: The A4 just looks bloody marvelous in black. Keep it!

Excellent footage there Iain as always. Nice to see Gresley back at the Moors. I do like the Wartime Black, but I prefer it in BR Blue anyway.

That’s actually the Esk Valley Line at the start of the video - the train between Middlesbrough and Whitby changes direction there! The NYMR runs between Grosmont and Pickering - only four stations - Grosmont, Goathland, Levisham (not to be confused with Lewisham) and Pickering is the terminus!

I have to say that I actually quite like the wartime black livery - it makes the loco look big and purposeful & very appropriate for recent events.

It doesn't matter what kind of train is there, if it's moving why on earth would you cross? Specially with dogs!
@simonjames38452 жыл бұрын
The crossing is an open crossing with gates which should be shut across the footpath, most trains are DMU so don't run further than the platform towards Northallerton. Stupid without a doubt and in todays society had she slipped it would have been everyone's fault but hers if she had been involved in an accident.

Fascinating aerial views of the enormous Yarm Viaduct, and Battersby Station, though now reduced to a shadow of its days as a busy junction to Rosedale ,(the track-bed to the top of the picture , and to Picton , off to the right.) Rail-travellers years ago will recall the well kept station , original signal cabin, still with all its Victorian equipment, semaphore signals, with paraffin lamps , the water trough, with gold-fish , and spacious , free car-parking !
