Absolutely love this scene because this was Bobby's way of telling Diane, "I love you but this is a special night for me and I am not putting up with your drama."

When I was an NCO in the Air Force, I was breaking down a video teleconference that had just finished up, and the 3 star who we were hosting gave me his coin, for a job well done. I told him "Thank you, Sir, I'll pass this on to Airman Lopez, he did the setup, and most of the work on this." Which was true, Lopez had done all the work on it, but he had someplace to be when the conference finished, so I took over at the end. There are plenty of NCOs who would've taken the coin and the accolades, and left their Airmen, who had done all the work, hanging. I never liked those kind of NCOs or officers. I guess the General didn't either, because he gave me a second coin, so I would have one, and Lopez would have one. It worked for me, bu it didn't work for Bobby. Point is, he tried. He knew damn well that he wouldn't have cleared those cases without Andy, and he wanted Andy to be rewarded too.

Such an emotional scene, it’s supposed to be a happy day for Bobby but, he stood there so alone, heartbroken from his partner, disappointed with his girlfriend and everything I think that Why didn’t she approach him, congrats him, hug him and thank him for trying so hard to help her, just run away after the ceremony and left him alone

Promotions and Certificates are awesome when doing your job. They help in reminding the recipient about the hard work that has gone into their work! I was most impressed with Bobby immediately letting The Commissioner know that His Partner was as important part of the success in the solving of many of those homicide cases. Yes, this is a TV show but for what it is worth, there are people of this Caliber that actually exist out in the real world and I'm proud to know a couple of them myself. Andy did have a look as if to say, "Maybe me one day". And at the very end as Bobby looks at his Framed Citation, I'm imaging all of the thoughts racing through his head at that moment! Brilliant Post January! Cheers From Ohio To The BLUE Crew!

Andy would not get promoted to 1st grade way past Simone. Past Sorenson, not until having Clark as his partner . I believe Simone thrived and excelled more with Andy. After what Andy did finding the lost girl stolen from her parent's when he was partners with Kelly. And all the case's he cleared after was a disservice to Sipowitz.

The people he cares about the most aren’t happy for him. Andy doesn’t accept responsibility that his own attitude/actions are what kept him from getting a promotion. Diane’s personal history that has yet to be revealed clouding her judgment that Bobby saved her from something she was unwilling to do herself.

Poor Andy. A good man and equally deserving but passed over and beaten out by his new partner. But he held his head high and applauded none the less. Meanwhile, Bobby is troubled by Diane's attitude, and this ceremony is much less joyful than it otherwise would have been for all concerned. 👮♀👮♂

Well, Andy had a lot of baggage from his past that maybe caught up with him. In any case, Andy would finally get promoted to 1st Grade in Season 9, and Sgt in Season 12.

Diane’s visit on Bobby’s special day has nothing to do with the case, has to do with her personal baggage and past traumas which spilled over into the undercover case which led to this. Felt like telling her to go get lost coming around like that.

Noticed that as well! I myself appreciate when an Actor goes above and beyond with their "Character". Delivery and emotion in spoken lines are a huge part, but for me the "little things" go a long way and are noticed when offered up by the performer! Great Catch Gordon. Cheers

I never understood the hierarchy of police rankings so whenever the detectives were in uniform it seemed like a demotion had occurred. Being put "back in the bag" always sounded negative.
@mkrny1112 жыл бұрын
So true. They got to be plain clothes detectives, then as a sgt bsck in uniform or “back in the bag”.. then again to Lt and plainclothes. I guess it all depends on precinct or wherever the duty is. Old law and order max Greevey was a sgt w Logan and plainclothes, yet Chicago pd sgt Trudy platt in uniform.☹️☹️

Once I got a piece of paper from my manager who went into the office library to use a template to print up a piece of paper to thank me for my efficiency that was better than all of my other colleagues in all of the other offices. I would have preferred it if my manager thanked me from the heart and put some effort into it. In retrospect I wish I had acted on my feelings and told her to wipe her ass with that piece of paper as it was a meaningless effort,

Bobbie looks very handsome & dashing . These are real cops & I have seen bad cops inside the box like Raglan & the cop I A B who likes to frame cops who are sincere & hardworking.

I've always had a bit of a problem with cops saluting. A salute is a greeting among warriors. If you can complain to your union rep about a order you receive, or for that matter, decline to follow the order, you're not really a warrior.

Have you seen the war they're out fighting on the streets lately take a look and rethink your comment
@craigfelter2 жыл бұрын
@@scottchapell31 You've got to be kidding me. If you're fighting a war, the mission comes first. Surviving it is an added bonus. When you're a cop, coming home alive comes first, and the mission, well, maybe we'll wait for SWAT to show up. As it should be. Police are civilians. They're not supposed to die on the job. They do sometimes, but so do lumberjacks.
