I love how in this scene the softening of the relationship between Andy and Andy Jr. As well as Andy using his instincts knowing something was up with that guy in the lot too.

This was a great episode! Really sorry this video wasn't longer I miss that darn show so much When I see reruns and realize it was aired from mid 90's - 2005, I get a sick feeling how much our country has changed in just 20 years, ..and not for the better...seem like just yesterday!

This storyline and it's payoff is one of the reasons I jumped so hardcore into the show. Then they added Bobby in Season 2 and I was stuck for the next 9 years :)

There's the later scene after the suspect says where she is and Andy tells mr bucchi she may be alive yet and andy's jr's reaction is just like holy crap seriously?

Sadly the writers dropped the ball here. Andy said the man sent his daughter to the bank approx. 2 1/2 years ago with a cash deposit and someone grabbed her up. When they recover they little girl , she appears to be 7-9 years old. That would mean when she was sent to the bank she was 5-7 years old…..by herself. That doesn’t add up or make sense. Just a trained observers view. Love the show, found a l9t of the tactics useful in my home town.

I had never seen this particular episode, but as soon as Mr. Bucchi said HI to "Steve", I'm sure I was not alone in thinking That's The Guy Who is responsible for the missing daughter....especially when Andy gave the whole scene a Double Take. I would love to see how this "Arc" turned out! Cheers From Ohio

I like to think that watching his dad solve this case on that day is what made Andy Jr. want to be a policeman after he couldn't get into the Air Force.

Andy could deduce all that about the girl's disappearance 2.5 years ago just by looking at the guy?

While this is a guy-wrenching storyline, it’s actually a little comical in that the actor playing Bucci, Louis Giambalvo, was a frequent guest star on Hill Street Blues, playing…a car dealer.
